One Complaint, Three Findings

Eye Wrinkle & Crow’s Feet Treatment in Cheongdam, Gangnam, Seoul

Lines at the outer eye corner come from three tissues, and each answers to a different instrument. The examination decides which line you have before anything is bought. Toxin areas begin at ₩30,000; the eye radiofrequency protocol and the eye polynucleotide row are listed on their own.

The Reading

Three findings hide behind one complaint about eye wrinkles

Someone points at the outer corner of an eye and calls the whole thing crow’s feet. Under the finger there are usually three problems: a ring of muscle folding the skin every time you smile, a sheet of skin that has lost tension and sits in loose crepe, and a dermis thinned until it creases under its own weight. Toxin answers the first. Radiofrequency answers the second. A polynucleotide row answers the third. Buying the wrong one is the commonest disappointment here.

Sorting them takes one test and about a minute. You smile hard while the fan of lines is photographed at full contraction, then let the face go completely slack while the same corner is photographed again. Whatever vanishes between the two captures is muscular. Whatever survives the relaxed frame belongs to the skin, and how it survives matters: fine parallel wrinkling that lifts when the cheek is supported points at laxity, while a dull, tissue-paper texture that stays put under support points at dermal thinning.

Most faces past their mid-thirties carry a blend, and the proportions often differ between the left and the right side of the same face. An eye plan written here therefore names a proportion before it names an instrument. Which zones of the face count as separate treated areas for injection work belongs on the wrinkle botox page, and the full set of applications this molecule has at the clinic is laid out under botox in Cheongdam.

Finding One

What toxin reaches at an outer eye corner and what it never touches

The orbicularis oculi is a flat ring of muscle wrapped around the eye socket, sitting directly beneath very thin skin.

THE TARGET

The fibres at the lateral third of the ring

Squeezing that segment gathers the skin outward into a fan. Botulinum toxin type A reduces the signal arriving at those fibres, the fan gathers less tightly, and the folding that draws the line stops repeating.

THE BOUNDARY

The cheek lifters and the lid raiser stay out of it

Points are kept lateral to the bony rim and away from the muscles that raise the upper lip and open the eye. Those neighbours are why an eye map is drawn on a smiling face and never copied from a previous visit.

THE LIMIT

A groove already printed into the skin

Where the crease is visible while the face is entirely still, the molecule has nothing to switch off. It slows further printing of that groove; it does not iron out what years of folding have set.

Both outer corners together are counted as one treated area on the published wrinkle line, so a plan aimed only at the smile fan is a single row on your quote. Two tiers are printed for that row, one made in Korea and one imported, and the tier is your choice at the consultation. Korean pharmaceutical advertising rules keep prescription toxin product names off public pages, so tiers appear here in place of manufacturers; your director names the product and shows you the vial in the room.

Finding Two

Where the 450-shot eye tip belongs in a crow’s feet plan

Loose crepe around an eye is a collagen problem. Thermage FLX delivers monopolar radiofrequency into the dermis, heating the collagen scaffold while the surface is cooled, and the eye protocol uses a dedicated tip mapped around the orbit at 450 shots. It does nothing to how hard you squint; it is aimed at the skin that squinting has been folding.

The references at the foot of this page include a multicentre account of noninvasive radiofrequency applied to exactly this tissue. What that literature establishes is mechanism and tissue response. It sets no schedule for your face and promises no measurement, so your director works from the reading taken on your own capture.

The eye protocol is listed and charged apart from the face protocol, because it uses its own tip and its own shot count and is frequently bought on its own. Where a face session is already planned, the two can sit in the same visit and are still approved as two lines. Everything the same platform does across the rest of the face and body is set out on the Thermage FLX page, with the full rate ladder on the Thermage price page.

Finding Three

When thin eyelid skin is the finding behind the eye wrinkles

Eyelid skin is the thinnest on the body, and some faces arrive with a dermis there that has simply run down. The giveaway is texture: the corner looks dull under angled light, makeup gathers in it by midday, and a gentle pinch produces fine wrinkling that takes a moment to settle. Neither softening a muscle nor heating a scaffold puts substance back into a layer that has thinned.

The row written for that finding is Rejuran HB, a polynucleotide preparation — PDRN, derived from salmon DNA — placed in small deposits through the thin skin around the eye and listed in 2 cc units. It is a quality treatment: what it is asked to change is how the skin behaves. The wider polynucleotide family, including the standard Healer line, is described on the Rejuran Healer page, and the published figure for this specific row sits on the Rejuran HB price page.

Two neighbouring complaints get confused with this one. A hollow throwing a shadow under the lower lid is a volume finding, read on the under-eye filler page. Colour sitting in the same hollow is a pigment and vascular question, taken up on the dark circle page. Treating either as a wrinkle wastes a session.

Sequencing

How two eye findings are ordered inside one plan

Where the capture shows a blend, the order matters more than the total. Stopping the folding first gives the skin time without being creased, and the corner after that is a truer picture of the skin finding underneath.

  • Muscle first, skin second, on separate visits. The smile fan is softened, the corner is re-photographed at the review, and only then is a decision made about heating or injecting the skin.
  • Same-visit combining is possible where the findings do not overlap. An eye radiofrequency protocol and a toxin area can share a visit when the plan calls for both, and each is quoted, approved and recorded as its own line.
  • Nothing is bundled into a package here. Each row is priced on its own, so dropping one changes your total by exactly that row.
  • The corner is captured again before every repeat. An eye that has had a year of softened folding no longer reads like the eye first examined, so the plan is rewritten from the new capture.

Who Is Turned Away

When we do not recommend treating eye wrinkles at all

An eye consultation ends without a plan more often than any other zone on this floor. A corner whose lines are identical whether you smile or go slack, in skin that is also loose, is a surgical conversation and is named as one. An upper lid carrying a heavy fold of skin gives the whole region no margin and is left alone. Treatment is declined in pregnancy and while breastfeeding, over active infection or inflamed skin, and where a neuromuscular disorder is reported. Blood-thinning medication and supplements are asked about specifically, because this area bruises most readily.

The risks deserve naming one by one. Toxin placed too low or too medially can weaken part of the muscle that raises the cheek and leave a smile visibly flatter on one side. Product reaching the muscle that opens the eye can leave an upper lid heavy or a lid crease sitting lower than its twin. An uneven map softens one corner ahead of the other, which a review corrects. Bruising, small swellings at the entry points and brief redness are ordinary after any injection here. Radiofrequency around the orbit carries a burn risk if the handpiece is poorly coupled or cooling fails, and transient lid swelling is common. A polynucleotide row can leave small visible bumps while the deposits settle. Each of these is temporary and each still costs you the waiting. Results vary between individuals and are assessed on your own examination.

If an eye of yours has been treated before and the result upset you, bring the detail: roughly when, which route was used, and what bothered you. That history is worth more to your director than a phone photograph.

Listed Rates

What each eye wrinkle route is listed at in Cheongdam

Three rows cover this region and each carries its own published figure. A toxin area runs from ₩30,000 (≈ $20) on the Korean tier to ₩150,000 (≈ $105) on the imported tier. The eye radiofrequency protocol is listed at ₩2,200,000 (≈ $1,570). The eye polynucleotide row is listed at ₩400,000 (≈ $285) for a 2 cc unit. Which of them your face needs is settled by the capture and never by the enquiry.

Every figure above is quoted identically to Seoul residents and to visiting patients, is confirmed with you before anything is drawn, and covers the session in front of you and never a course. Aftercare for your plan is explained at the appointment. Each row also appears on the price list, with the injection ladder broken down on the botox price page.

Dear, Knowhow

How an eye corner is sorted before any route is quoted at Dear

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

All three eye routes live on the same floor

Injection, radiofrequency and polynucleotide rows share one price list here, so naming the finding costs the clinic nothing either way.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

EVE Muse 3D + AI captures the corner twice

Three-dimensional imaging under five light sources records the outer corner at full smile and at complete rest, and the AI analysis compares the two frames. The difference between them is the muscular share of your eye line; what remains in the relaxed frame is the skin share. That split is written into your chart before a single row is quoted.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

Marks drawn while you are actually smiling

Injection points around the eye are marked on your own contracting face and kept lateral to the orbital rim, and treatment is director-performed. The same director opens the baseline capture at the review, evens the two sides and decides whether anything more is needed.

FAQ

Eye wrinkles and crow’s feet, asked and answered

My crow’s feet only show when I smile. Which route is that?
That description points at the muscular finding, and an injection is the instrument built for it. Confirm it yourself: smile hard at a mirror, then let your whole face go slack. A fan that disappears completely in the slack position is being drawn by the ring muscle. Your director repeats the test under controlled lighting and photographs both states.
Mine are visible even when my face is completely still. What then?
Then part of the line is printed into the skin and softening the movement will not lift it out. The reading splits in two: crepe and lost tension answer to the periorbital radiofrequency protocol, a thin papery dermis to the polynucleotide row. Both often apply in different proportions on one face, and the order is decided at the consultation.
How much is one toxin area around the eyes?
Both outer corners together count as one treated area, listed from ₩30,000 (≈ $20) on the Korean tier up to ₩150,000 (≈ $105) on the imported tier, with intermediate tiers on the price list. The figure covers one sitting and never a course, and it is identical whether you live in Seoul or are visiting.
Why is the eye radiofrequency protocol priced apart from the face protocol?
Because it uses a dedicated periorbital tip with its own shot count, mapped around the orbit instead of across the cheek and jaw. It is listed at ₩2,200,000 (≈ $1,570) and is bought alone as often as it is added to a face session. Where both are planned in one visit you approve two lines.
Can a polynucleotide row be placed in the skin around my eyes?
Yes, and this row exists for exactly that skin. It is listed at ₩400,000 (≈ $285) for a 2 cc unit, placed in small deposits through the thin tissue around the orbit. The deposits can be visible as small bumps for a while afterwards, worth knowing before you plan it around an event.
Will treating the outer corners flatten my smile?
It can if a point strays too low or too far toward the nose and reaches part of the muscle lifting the cheek. That is a mapping outcome, and it is the reason your points are marked while you are actively smiling and kept lateral to the bony rim. It is temporary when it happens, and it is the specific risk that keeps first doses around the eye deliberately light.
Can my upper eyelid feel heavy after an eye treatment?
Heaviness in the lid follows product reaching the muscle that opens the eye. Tell your director at once if a lid starts sitting lower than its twin, so it can be examined while it is developing. It resolves on the product’s own schedule, and that wait is the argument for a conservative first map.
Is the skin at my eye too thin for radiofrequency?
Thin skin is the reason the eye protocol exists as a separate tip and a separate map instead of being run at face settings. Whether your lid tolerates it is decided at the examination, and a lid that is inflamed, very lax or carrying a heavy fold is turned down. Transient swelling afterwards is ordinary; a poorly coupled handpiece is where the burn risk sits, which is why the session is director-performed.
Should I buy all three routes at once?
Rarely. Stopping the folding first and re-photographing the corner at the review gives a cleaner reading of the skin finding underneath, and the skin row that seemed necessary at the first visit often looks smaller afterwards. Nothing here is sold as a bundle.
When would you tell me to leave my eye wrinkles alone?
When the lines sit in loose, redundant skin and barely change between the smiling and the slack capture, which is a surgical question and is named as one. Also in pregnancy and breastfeeding, over infected or inflamed skin, and where a neuromuscular disorder is reported. We do not recommend an injection whose target is absent, and you are shown the two captures the decision rests on.
Can I be treated the day I come in, and do visitors pay the same?
Treatment can follow the consultation in the same visit once the corner has been captured and you have approved the figure, and Dear Clinic is open 365 days a year including Sundays and public holidays. Visiting patients pay what Seoul residents pay. English-language consultation covers the reading, the quote and the aftercare.

Scientific Evidence

Peer-reviewed sources for the two mechanisms described above

Six references cover the two instruments named above. Three concern botulinum toxin type A on expression lines: the first published report of its use on frown lines, a consensus education initiative on aesthetic application, and a laboratory account of how the licensed type A products differ. Three concern radiofrequency: a multicentre report on the tissue around the eye, a review of radiofrequency for skin laxity, and a randomised split-face trial against microfocused ultrasound.

None of them describes your eye corner, sets a dose or a shot map for it, or attaches a timeline to it. That comes from the capture taken at your own examination.
