About

What is wrinkle botox?

Wrinkle botox is botulinum toxin type A injected into the small muscles that fold your skin when you frown, raise your brows or smile. The toxin temporarily reduces the nerve signal reaching those muscles, so they pull less and the crease they were printing into the skin softens over the days that follow. Movement is the target. Lines caused by lost volume or sun damage need different answers entirely.

There is a simple test you can run in a mirror. Relax your face completely and look: the lines still visible at rest are static, and they belong to volume, texture or time. Now frown, lift your brows, smile — the lines that deepen only in motion are dynamic, and those are this treatment's territory. Most faces carry both kinds at once, in different proportions. A typical plan treats the dynamic lines with toxin here and sends the static ones to filler, a booster or a lifting protocol.

Treatment Areas

Where wrinkle botox actually works

Each region has its own muscle pattern, and each is planned and priced separately — so you pay for what you actually treat.

01

Frown lines

The vertical "11" between the brows, printed by the muscles that pull them together. Often the first area people notice, because it reads as anger or tension in photographs.

02

Forehead lines

Horizontal lines from the muscle that lifts the brows. Dosing here is a balancing act — relax too much and the brow drops, which is exactly why restraint matters more than coverage.

03

Crow's feet

The fan of lines at the outer corner of the eye when you smile. Treated gently so the smile stays yours; the aim is a softer crease, never a still face.

04

What counts as an area

Pricing is per area, and your director tells you at the consultation how many areas your plan needs before anything is agreed — so the number on the estimate is the number on the receipt.

The Tier Question

Four tiers, published openly

Four botulinum toxin type A products sit on the ladder, each with its own published per-area price. Which one is drawn up is your decision, taken after your director explains what separates them.

TIER LADDER

Korean to premium imported

The ladder runs from a domestically manufactured botulinum toxin, through a Korean premium formulation, to imported and then premium imported products. They are all botulinum toxin type A from different manufacturers, at different price points.

WHY NO BRAND NAMES

Why no brand name appears here

Korean pharmaceutical advertising rules do not permit prescription toxin products to be named in public marketing. In the consultation room the rule does not apply: your director names the product, states where it is made, and shows you the vial before it is drawn.

HOW WE ADVISE

Your budget, our restraint

We will not tell you on a web page that a higher tier buys you a better face — that judgement belongs to your assessment. What we will do is quote every tier, explain what changes and what does not, and dose conservatively whichever one you choose.

Why wrinkle botox is planned this way at Dear

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

The line you have may not be this line

Boosters, fillers and lifting platforms are all in this building. So when the examination says a crease is static, moving you to the filler room costs us nothing.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

EVE Muse separates the moving lines from the still ones

Three-dimensional imaging under five light sources shows which creases deepen with movement and which sit there at rest — a distinction that decides whether a toxin is the answer at all, and which areas are genuinely worth treating.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

Restraint you can see in the mirror

Frozen expressions come from over-treating, not from the treatment. Every injection here is performed by our directors, who place a modest first dose and bring you back for review; topping up later takes a minute, while an over-dose can only be waited out.

Prices are per treated area. A plan covering two regions is quoted as two areas and totalled before anything begins, and the estimate you approve at the consultation is the figure that appears on the receipt. Korean advertising law is what keeps product names off this page; in the consultation room you are given the name, the manufacturer and the country of origin. Other toxin regions we treat, including skin and body areas, sit on the published price list.

Caution

After your wrinkle botox session

Do not rub, press or massage the treated areas for the rest of the day.
Stay upright for a few hours after your session, and avoid lying flat.
Skip strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol on the day and for a few days after.
Tiny red points at the injection sites are normal, and occasional pinpoint bruising can appear on thin skin; keep make-up light over them at first.
Softening builds over the following days and wears off with time. Call us about a heavy or drooping brow, a drooping eyelid or marked asymmetry between the two sides; review visits are part of the plan.

FAQ

Wrinkle botox, answered

What does wrinkle botox actually do?
Botulinum toxin type A is placed in the small muscles that fold your skin when you make an expression. It temporarily reduces the nerve signal those muscles receive, so they pull less and the crease they were printing softens. Lines that stay visible while your face is completely relaxed come from volume loss or skin quality, and they answer to a different treatment.
How much does wrinkle botox cost in Seoul?
Pricing is per treated area and every tier is published: ₩30,000 (≈ $20) with a Korean toxin, ₩60,000 (≈ $45) for a Korean premium formulation, ₩90,000 (≈ $65) for an imported product and ₩150,000 (≈ $105) for the premium imported tier. The rate is the same for locals and international visitors, and the number of areas in your plan is agreed before treatment.
Which areas can be treated, and what counts as one area?
The commonly requested regions are the frown lines between the brows, the horizontal forehead lines and the crow's feet at the outer eye corners. Each region is planned and charged as its own area, so a two-region plan is quoted as two areas. Your director tells you how many areas your face actually needs at the consultation, and the estimate you approve is what you pay.
Is wrinkle botox worth it?
That depends on what your lines do when your face stops moving. Creases that flatten at rest respond directly to a toxin, and softening them is a small, reversible change. Creases that hold their shape at rest belong to volume or skin quality, and your director will say so at the diagnosis instead of taking the booking. The mirror test settles it in about a minute, before you have spent anything.
Will I look frozen or expressionless?
Only an over-dose does that. Our directors start modest and bring you back for review, and the forehead and eye areas in particular are treated with restraint, so the brows still lift and the smile still creases. Over-treating the forehead muscle is what drops a brow, which is the specific outcome the dose plan is built around.
How soon does it work, and how long does it last?
Softening develops over the days after your session, so nothing is judged in the mirror on the way out. The effect is temporary and wears off. How quickly depends on the dose planned for you, the muscle treated and how expressive you are, so your director gives you a realistic interval for your own plan at consultation instead of a figure from a web page.
Why won't you name the toxin brands on this page?
Korean pharmaceutical advertising law does not permit prescription toxin products to be named in public marketing, which is why the price list runs on tiers. That restriction stops at the consultation room door. Your director names the product, tells you where it is manufactured, and shows you the vial before drawing it up.
Is a more expensive tier better?
We will not make that claim in marketing copy. All four are botulinum toxin type A from different manufacturers, and which one suits you is a judgement made against your assessment, your budget and how you have responded to toxin before. What is fixed is everything else: all four rates published, the differences explained in the room, and the same dosing discipline whichever you choose.
Does it hurt?
The injections are quick and use a very fine needle, and most people describe them as brief pinches. Topical numbing is available on request and is applied before the session begins. There is no anaesthetic to recover from, and nothing about the visit needs a whole afternoon.
Is there downtime after wrinkle botox?
Practically none. Tiny red points at the injection sites fade quickly and you can return to your day straight away. Leave the areas unrubbed, stay upright for a few hours, and skip the gym, saunas and alcohol for a few days. Light make-up over the points is fine once they have settled.
Can I combine it with filler or a booster?
Yes, and most whole-face plans do. Dynamic lines answer to toxin, lost volume answers to filler, and skin quality answers to boosters or lifting devices, so a face carrying all three concerns is planned as a sequence with intervals between the steps. Our botox versus filler comparison sets out which concern belongs to which, and your diagnosis decides the order.
Can I have it on the same day as my consultation, and is the price the same for visitors?
Usually yes. The EVE Muse 3D diagnosis and the doctor consultation take up the first part of the appointment, and the injections can follow immediately once your director has confirmed the lines are dynamic. Dear Clinic is open 365 days a year, including Sundays and public holidays. One published price list applies to residents and international visitors alike, with KRW as what you pay and USD shown for reference. Tell us how long you are in Seoul when you write: because the softening develops over the following days, most visitors fly home before the result has finished settling.
