What is the difference between the Korean and the imported tier?
Both are botulinum toxin type A, and both are licensed products handled the same way in the clinic; they differ in manufacturer, in formulation details and in price. Some patients have a preference from previous treatment abroad, some choose by budget, and many are content with either once the plan is agreed. Your director explains the practical differences for your specific area, and the decision stays yours. Will my face still show expression?
That is a dosing question, and it is the reason conservative first dosing is the house default. Botulinum toxin reduces how strongly a treated muscle contracts, in proportion to the units placed and where they go; a light, well-mapped dose softens the crease while leaving your face mobile. A frozen appearance comes from too many units placed in the wrong muscle. We start low and add at review, because an excess cannot be taken back once it is in.
When will I notice it, and how long does it last?
The effect is not immediate on the day and it is temporary by nature: as nerve signalling gradually returns, the treated muscle or gland resumes its usual activity and the appearance follows. How long that takes varies with the dose, the area, the size and strength of the muscle, and your own metabolism, so your director gives you a realistic timeline for your own plan at consultation instead of a single advertised number. How much downtime should I expect?
Very little. Expect pinpoint marks, brief redness and the possibility of small bruises where the needle entered, all of which usually settle within a day or two and are easily covered. You will be asked to stay upright for a few hours, to skip saunas, heavy exercise and alcohol briefly, and not to rub or massage the treated area. Body dosing can leave a heavy or aching feeling in the muscle at first.
I have never had it before. Can I start with a small dose?
Yes, and it is usually the sensible way in. A conservative first dose lets you see how your own muscles respond, keeps the change subtle enough that nobody asks what you have had done, and leaves room to adjust at review. Wrinkle treatment is priced by the area, so a single area is a perfectly reasonable first appointment — and if the examination suggests waiting instead, you will hear that too.
Do men have botulinum toxin here?
Yes, and four of the six areas are regular male requests: the masseter in clenchers and grinders, the brow and forehead, the underarms, and the trapezius across the shoulders. Male muscles are typically larger and stronger, which changes the units and the mapping rather than ruling anything out. Skin treatment of the jawline field is the one men ask about least, and the one they are most often surprised by.
Can I have it on the day of my consultation, and are prices the same for visitors?
Usually yes to both. Diagnosis and consultation take about thirty minutes and the injections can follow the same appointment once your director confirms the cause.
