About

What is NAD+ IV therapy?

NAD+ IV therapy is an intravenous infusion of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, given at Dear Clinic as wellness support. It treats no disease. You can book it as a single session or as a ten-session course, and the human clinical evidence for the intravenous route specifically is limited and still emerging — a point this page states up front instead of working around.

The underlying biology is not in dispute. NAD+ is a coenzyme that every cell uses in energy metabolism and in repair pathways, and its measured levels in tissue decline with age. What that established biochemistry does not settle is the clinical question people actually care about: what a given infusion, at a given dose, does for a healthy adult over time. Those are two different claims, and only the first of them is currently well supported.

The published human research has largely studied oral NAD+ precursors — nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide — where randomised trials show that supplementation raises circulating NAD+ and is generally well tolerated in healthy middle-aged and older adults. Controlled human data on intravenous NAD+ itself is much thinner. We therefore offer it as supportive wellness care and attach no outcome promise to it. Book it with that in mind.

What to expect

How the appointment runs

The intravenous menu at Dear Clinic is built around short, unfussy appointments — the Dear Vital infusions run about 20 minutes, with no anaesthesia and no recovery time.

01

Medical review first

Existing conditions, current medication, allergy history, pregnancy and breastfeeding are discussed with a doctor before anything is prepared. This is the part of the visit that decides whether the infusion happens at all.

02

Seated infusion

The line is placed and the infusion runs while you sit. No anaesthesia is involved. Infusion time for a NAD+ session is confirmed at your consultation, because the rate follows your comfort and the clock follows the rate.

03

Straight back to your day

Ordinary activity resumes immediately afterwards. Some people notice a passing heaviness or tiredness later in the day; the aftercare notes below set out what that feels like and roughly how long it tends to last.

04

Single or course

One session or a course of ten. A course is the larger commitment of the two. Try a single session, then decide from there.

Where the evidence stands

What we will and will not tell you

Wellness infusions are the corner of aesthetic medicine where marketing runs furthest ahead of data. Here is our line on it.

01 — WHAT IS SUPPORTED

Precursors raise NAD+, and are tolerated

Randomised human trials of oral nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide report that supplementation elevates NAD+ in blood and is well tolerated in healthy adults. That much is established.

02 — WHAT IS NOT CLAIMED

No reversal, no cure, no promises

We do not present this infusion as reversing ageing, treating illness, curing fatigue or repairing damage. Reviews of NAD+ precursors in human ageing describe the clinical evidence as developing and set out the open challenges, and we are not going to overtake that literature in a headline.

03 — HOW WE DECIDE

A doctor screens before a drip is hung

If your description points to something that should be investigated properly — persistent exhaustion, unexplained symptoms — the appropriate answer is a medical work-up. You will be told that here, and the infusion will not be prepared.

What a doctor adds before the line goes in

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

NAD+ is one line on a long menu

Lasers, lifting devices, fillers, boosters and the five Dear Vital infusions sit on one price list. NAD+ is a single entry on it. When the consultation shows the real concern is pigment or laxity, the plan moves to a laser or a lifting device and the drip falls out of it.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

Five light sources before a drip is discussed

When the goal you describe is really about how your skin looks, EVE Muse captures the face in 3D under five light sources and the AI analysis reads pigment, texture and vascular tone as separate findings, which is usually enough to show whether the thing you want changed is something an infusion could reach at all. People who arrive asking about NAD+ for their complexion often leave with a quotation for something else.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

Screened by a director, every time

The consultation, the screening and the decision are director-performed, and two of our directors are board-certified in Family Medicine. Intravenous care belongs with a doctor who will say no.

Caution

What to tell the doctor before an NAD+ drip

Tell the doctor about any existing condition and every medication you take before the infusion is prepared — including supplements.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding, anticoagulant use and a history of allergic reactions all require a prior consultation, and may mean we decline the infusion.
Redness, bruising, swelling or discomfort at the injection site can occur afterwards and are usually temporary.
A passing heaviness or tiredness later in the day is possible; it settles on its own, and it is worth not scheduling anything demanding immediately after your first session.
If you feel unwell during the infusion, say so at once so the rate can be adjusted or the infusion stopped — and if you suspect an allergic reaction at any point afterwards, contact the clinic immediately.

FAQ

NAD+ IV therapy, answered

Is NAD+ IV therapy worth it?
That depends on what you expect from it. As wellness support taken with realistic expectations and under medical supervision, plenty of people find it a considered purchase. As a solution to a specific problem it is not a sound bet, because the human evidence for the intravenous route is still emerging. Weigh that before you buy ten sessions.
Does NAD+ IV therapy reverse ageing?
No, and we do not present it that way. NAD+ levels do decline with age, which is where the popular framing comes from, but showing that an infusion changes the course of ageing in humans is a much harder claim and it has not been established. Reviews of NAD+ precursors in human ageing describe the clinical picture as developing, with open questions rather than settled answers.
What does the human evidence actually show?
Most of it concerns oral precursors rather than intravenous NAD+. Randomised trials of nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide in healthy adults report that supplementation raises circulating NAD+ and is generally well tolerated, and a meta-analysis has examined effects on glucose and lipid measures. Controlled human data on intravenous NAD+ specifically remains limited, which is where the field currently stands.
How much does NAD+ IV therapy cost in Seoul?
A single infusion is ₩300,000 (≈ $215) at Dear Clinic and a course of ten is ₩2,500,000 (≈ $1,785). Locals and international visitors pay the same published rate, and the doctor consultation and screening are included in the session price.
Is it a treatment for a medical condition?
No. It is offered as wellness support and is not a therapy for any disease, nor a substitute for proper investigation of a symptom. If what you describe suggests something that needs looking into, the right response is a medical assessment, and the doctor will say so instead of hanging a drip.
How long does a NAD+ appointment take, and does it hurt?
The intravenous menu at Dear Clinic is designed around short appointments — the Dear Vital infusions take about 20 minutes, with no anaesthesia and an immediate return to ordinary activity. Infusion time for a NAD+ session is confirmed at your consultation, since the rate follows your comfort. The only sharp moment is the needle going in; after that it is a seated wait, and if anything feels uncomfortable while the bag runs, say so at once so the rate can be slowed or the infusion stopped.
What are the side effects, and is there downtime?
You return to your day straight afterwards. Redness, bruising, swelling or discomfort at the injection site are the common findings and are usually temporary. A passing heaviness or tiredness later in the day is also possible and settles by itself, so it is sensible not to plan anything demanding right after a first session while you learn how you respond. Any suspected allergic reaction should be reported to the clinic immediately, which is why the medication and allergy review happens before the infusion is prepared.
Who should not have it?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, taking anticoagulants, carrying a significant allergy history or managing a chronic condition needs to discuss it with the doctor first, and that conversation can end with us declining. Bring your medication list, supplements included, and let the doctor make the call.
Should I book one session or the course of ten?
Start with one unless you already know how you respond. A course is priced below ten separate sessions, but the discount is not a reason to commit before you have any personal experience of the infusion. You can always move to a course afterwards.
How is this different from a vitamin infusion?
They are different contents with different rationales. The clinic's Dear Vital line covers vitamin, glutathione and similar infusions built around skin condition and general nutrition, while NAD+ is its own item on the menu at its own price. Which one is actually being asked for tends to become clear during the consultation.
Can I have it on the same day as my consultation?
Usually yes, once the doctor has read your medication list and is satisfied the infusion is appropriate for you. Screening and a NAD+ session fit inside one visit, and the clinic is open 365 days a year including Sundays and public holidays, so a Saturday or Sunday slot is as available as a weekday one.
Do international visitors pay a different price for NAD+, and how do I book?
No. The same published list applies to everyone: ₩300,000 (≈ $215) for a single infusion and ₩2,500,000 (≈ $1,785) for the course of ten, with KRW as what you pay and USD shown for reference. Send the consultation form below with your travel dates and your current medication and supplement list, so the screening questions are already answered when you walk in.

Scientific Evidence

Science behind NAD+ supplementation — peer-reviewed references

Read the reference list below with one caveat in mind, because it is the caveat that matters most on this page: these are human studies of oral NAD+ precursors — nicotinamide riboside and nicotinamide mononucleotide — not of intravenous NAD+. They report that precursor supplementation raises NAD+ and is well tolerated in healthy adults, and a 2025 review sets out both the clinical evidence and its remaining challenges.

Controlled human evidence for the intravenous route specifically is limited and still emerging, which is why Dear Clinic offers this infusion as wellness support and makes no therapeutic claim for it. All references carry verifiable DOIs from indexed journals, and none of them should be read as a prediction of what any individual will experience.
