How much Botox do you need for forehead wrinkles? The dose is written on your face; the rate is published by area

There is no count that applies to every forehead, and none is printed here as a Dear Clinic figure. A unit is a potency measure belonging to one manufacturer's own product, so a number copied from a web page transfers nowhere. What is published instead is the forehead as one treated area, at a rate you can read before you book.

The Unit Question

Why a forehead unit count is not a figure any clinic can publish in advance

A unit expresses the potency of one manufacturer's botulinum toxin type A, established by that manufacturer's own assay. It is not a shared currency between products and it describes nothing about the muscle it will be placed in. Dear Clinic publishes a rate for one treated area and leaves the quantity to your examination.

The question arrives in units because that is how the internet discusses this molecule, and the word carries a different weight from product to product. The 2015 review listed at the foot of this page sets out how the licensed type A preparations differ in pharmaceutical and biological terms, and that is precisely why a figure attached to one preparation cannot be carried across to another without becoming a different amount of drug. Reading a count online and asking for it at a counter is therefore an instruction with no fixed meaning.

The second difficulty is the forehead itself. The broad sheet raising your brow varies enormously between faces in how far up the scalp it reaches, how wide its working portion is and how hard it pulls. Two people with similar horizontal lines can carry sheets of very different strength, and a quantity that softens one leaves the other unchanged. Any published number would describe an average forehead, and nobody walks into a consultation room carrying one.

So the commercial question and the clinical question are separated here. The commercial question — what will this cost me — is answered on the published ladder, by area, in advance, identically for residents of Seoul and for visitors. The clinical question — how much product this sheet takes — is answered by your director after the muscle has been photographed working. The full expression-line protocol across the face sits on the wrinkle botox page, and every application of this molecule performed here is gathered under botox in Cheongdam.

What Is Measured

Five findings that decide how much product a forehead sheet actually takes

Each is recorded at your diagnosis and each is discussed with you before anything is drawn up.

FindingHow it is readWhich way it moves the quantity
The size of the sheetHow high the working muscle reaches toward the hairline and how wide its active portion is when you raise both brows.A tall, broad working area needs product spread over more ground to fold evenly.
How hard it pullsThe distance the brow travels between complete rest and a full raise, captured and measured rather than estimated by eye.A powerful lift resists a light plan; a gentle one softens from very little.
Where your brow startsThe gap between the eyebrow and the upper lid, read with your eyes closed and your face entirely relaxed.A narrow gap caps the quantity, because smoothness bought at the cost of lift is a poor trade.
The depth of the linesWhether each horizontal line disappears when your face is still, or stays visible as a crease in the skin.Creases that persist at rest are not a dosing problem and adding product does not solve them.
What you have had beforeDates, the zones treated and what you disliked, taken as history at the consultation.A face that has been treated repeatedly behaves differently from one meeting this molecule for the first time.

None of the five is visible in a photograph sent by message, which is why a quantity is never agreed before the appointment. What can be agreed beforehand is the figure you will pay, because that follows the area and the tier.

How Areas Are Counted

What happens to the bill when the frown lines or the eye corners join a forehead plan

Charging here follows treated areas and not quantities, so the arithmetic is easy to check before you agree to it. The horizontal lines across the forehead are one area. The vertical lines between the brows are a second. The fan of lines at the outer eye corners is a third. A plan covering all three is quoted as three lines of the same published rate and approved by you as three lines, with the total visible on the screen in front of you.

That accounting matters because the zones interact. The muscles between the brows pull downward while the forehead sheet pulls upward, and softening only the upward side alters a balance that was holding your brow where it sits. Whether your reading calls for one zone or three is a clinical judgement; the area system makes the cost of that judgement visible instead of hiding it inside an undefined quantity.

Two further points come up often enough to answer here. A single area covers the sitting and never a course of sittings. And where a director recommends fewer zones than you arrived asking for, the figure comes down accordingly, which is the ordinary consequence of pricing by area. Placements aimed at texture instead of movement belong to a separate published line altogether, described on the skin botox page, and the wider picture of how tiers and zones combine is set out on the botox price page.

Listed Rates

What one forehead area is listed at on each published tier

One treated area is ₩30,000 (≈ $20) on the Korean tier and ₩150,000 (≈ $105) on the imported tier, with intermediate tiers published on the price list. Those figures cover the forehead mapped in a single sitting. The quantity placed inside that sitting follows your examination and does not alter the line.
TierWhat one forehead area coversPublished rate
KoreanA domestically manufactured botulinum toxin type A, mapped across the forehead sheet in one sitting after the brow has been measured₩30,000 (≈ $20)
ImportedAn imported type A preparation, the same mapping and the same sitting, for patients who ask for it₩150,000 (≈ $105)

Korean pharmaceutical advertising rules keep prescription product names off a public clinic page, which is why you are reading tiers and not manufacturers; the product is named to you in the room and the vial is shown before it is drawn. No claim is made here that either tier acts faster or reaches further than the other. Residents and visiting patients read the same card. Every remaining published figure sits on the price list.

Where More Stops Helping

The point at which extra product on a forehead buys risk instead of smoothness

Quantity has a ceiling set by anatomy. The sheet being softened is the only muscle that raises your eyebrow, so beyond a certain point the smoothing you gain is paid for with lift you wanted to keep. On a face with generous space between brow and lid the loss goes unnoticed. On a face with little, the upper lid begins to feel as though it is resting lower than it did, and the brow can drop visibly. Both are temporary and both wear off on the product's schedule instead of yours, which is why a first plan written here is deliberately light.

The named risks belong in the same paragraph as the dose. Asymmetry between the two halves of the sheet is the commonest thing a review corrects. Bruising at an entry point, brief swelling and a headache in the first day or two occur. Product reaching the muscle that lifts the lid can leave that lid heavy. An uneven map can leave the outer ends of the brows peaking upward while the middle stays quiet. Results vary between individuals and are assessed on your own examination.

We decline to treat a forehead in several readings. Where the lines are identical whether the muscle is working or resting, the finding is a crease in skin and no quantity of this molecule reaches it; the conversation moves to skin boosters or to the laser routes, and where the brow itself has descended, to lifting. Where the sheet is quietly holding a hooded lid clear, taking it away is not a cosmetic decision. Treatment is not offered in pregnancy or while breastfeeding, over active infection at the injection points, or where a neuromuscular disorder is reported, and blood-thinning medication or supplements need naming beforehand because they change how easily this area bruises.

The Second Appointment

Why a first forehead quantity here is written to be added to

A light plan that turns out to be light is corrected in minutes; a heavy plan that turns out to be heavy is corrected by waiting, so the first map errs downward on purpose
Bring the dates and zones of any previous treatment, because a history shortens the guesswork more than any photograph does
Raise both brows in a mirror at the end of the first week, which is the movement that shows what has taken and what has been left working
Report a heavy lid, a lowered brow or two halves behaving differently as soon as you see it, so it can be examined while it is still developing
Come to the review even when you are pleased, because the map is finished at that visit and not at the first one

Aftercare for the forehead is written for your plan and handed to you at the appointment. Anything that puzzles you afterwards is worth a telephone call, and with the clinic open 365 days a review date usually fits around a trip. How a consultation and a short injection can share one visit is set out on the same-day page.

Dear, Knowhow

How a forehead quantity is arrived at inside this clinic

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

A crease that needs skin work gets sent to skin work

Injectables, boosters and resurfacing sit on the same two floors, so naming a line as skin costs this clinic nothing at all.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

EVE Muse 3D imaging measures the brow before the lines

Three-dimensional capture under five light sources with AI analysis records the forehead at rest, at a full raise and at a frown. The travel of the brow between those captures, together with the gap between brow and lid, is the measurement a quantity is written against. It is a number taken from your face instead of an average taken from a textbook.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

The marks are drawn while your brows are lifting

Your director marks the map on a working muscle, keeps it well clear of the orbital rim and performs the injections personally. The same director reviews you, compares both halves against the baseline capture and completes the map from what your face has actually done.

FAQ

Forehead dosing, question by question

How much Botox do you need for forehead wrinkles?
There is no single count, and none is published here as a clinic figure. A unit belongs to one manufacturer's product and does not convert to another, so a number read online means little at a counter. Your quantity follows five findings measured at diagnosis: the size of the sheet, how hard it pulls, where your brow sits, how deep the lines are and what you have had before.
Then how do I know what I will pay before I arrive?
Because charging follows treated areas. The forehead is one area, listed at ₩30,000 (≈ $20) on the Korean tier and ₩150,000 (≈ $105) on the imported one. The quantity placed within that sitting does not change the line, so the figure you read now is the figure you approve in the room. Visiting patients read the same card as residents.
A clinic abroad quoted me a number of units. Can you match it?
We can read it as history, and that is genuinely useful. Matching it is a different matter: the number was written for whichever preparation was used and for your face as it was then. Bring the figure, the date and the zones treated, and your director will use them as evidence instead of an instruction.
Does a stronger forehead muscle simply mean more product?
Not on its own. Strength pushes the quantity up, but the gap between your brow and your upper lid pulls it back down, because the same sheet holds the brow where it sits. Where those two readings conflict, the brow measurement wins here and the plan stays lighter than the muscle alone would suggest.
If a lighter plan is used, will the lines only partly soften?
Sometimes, and that is the intention at a first appointment. A forehead that folds less deeply while still moving is the target; a completely still forehead on a face that cannot carry it looks heavy in photographs. Anything left working can be added to at the review in a few minutes, which is a far shorter wait than an over-treated brow requires.
My lines are visible when my face is completely still. Will more product remove them?
No, and we say so at the consultation instead of selling the attempt. A line present at complete rest is a crease held in the skin itself. Softening movement stops it deepening further and often shallows it slowly, while removing it is a skin-treatment question handled with boosters, resurfacing or a combination of the two.
Does the imported tier mean a different quantity?
The tier changes the preparation and the published rate, and your director writes the plan for whichever preparation you choose. No claim is made on this page that one tier goes further than the other; the review listed below describes how licensed type A products differ in the laboratory, and the choice between them is discussed in the room against your assessment and your budget.
What does it cost if the frown lines are treated as well?
Two areas at the same published rate, quoted as two lines and approved by you as two. The zones are counted separately because they are separate muscles pulling in opposite directions. Whether yours belong in one plan is a clinical judgement; the area system simply makes the price of that judgement visible before you agree to it.
Can too much on a forehead cause a droopy eyelid?
A heavy lid or a dropped brow is one of the named risks of this zone, and both are temporary. The mechanism is straightforward: the sheet being softened is the only muscle raising the brow, and where the margin above the lid is small there is nothing to spare. That is the measurement taken before a plan is written, and it is why the band nearest the brow is often left untouched.
How soon can I judge whether the quantity was right?
Not on the day. Movement changes over the days that follow and the look of the lines follows the movement, so the reading that matters is taken at the review with the baseline capture open beside you. Judging a forehead in the first days is the most common reason people ask for more product too early.
Does a man's forehead usually take more?
Often, yes. A male sheet tends to be stronger and broader and the brow commonly sits lower and flatter, so plans carry more while treating the band above the brow with extra caution. The aim on a male forehead is generally softening instead of erasing, and the published rates and the same examination apply without variation.
Can this be done on the day I come in?
Frequently, once the scan and the doctor consultation are finished and the reading supports it. Dear Clinic is open 365 days, so the review date usually fits inside a stay. Where the measurement says your brow cannot carry the treatment, we do not recommend it and you are shown the reading the decision rests on.

Scientific Evidence

Peer-reviewed sources behind the dosing logic described above

Three references sit behind this page. The 1992 report is the first written account of treating expression lines with type A, in the vertical lines between the brows. The 2013 consensus education initiative assembles the evidence base for aesthetic planning with this molecule. The 2015 review describes how the licensed type A products differ from one another in pharmaceutical and biological terms, which is the material behind the statement that a unit does not convert between preparations.

Titles, journals and years are reproduced exactly as published and each entry resolves to an indexed journal through its DOI. They establish mechanism and planning logic. They do not describe your forehead, they set no quantity for it, and they replace nothing that is measured at your own examination.
