Thermage vs Density in Korea

Thermage vs Density

Two monopolar radiofrequency systems aimed at the same layer of skin. One is sold as a single 600-shot full-face tip. The other arrives in 300-shot sessions across three tip tiers, and what separates them on your plan is intensity and price.

The Short Answer

Two monopolar RF systems, one dermal job

Thermage FLX from Solta Medical and Density from Jeisys Medical both drive monopolar radiofrequency (RF) into the dermis, so they compete for the same job. Thermage FLX is bought as one 600-shot tip for a calibrated full-face pass, with AccuREP energy calibration, at ₩2,200,000. Density is a high-density monopolar RF system with three tip tiers (Classic, High, Alpha) that lets treatment — and price — scale to your skin, opening at ₩700,000 for 300 shots.

Both are director-performed here. The doctor who reads your scan sets the energy and holds the handpiece for every pass.

Neither system reaches the SMAS. Monopolar RF spreads its heat through the dermis, while the deep support layer that a surgical lift moves sits below where either device does its work. So the decision turns on measurable things: how thick your dermis reads, how many shots the area takes, and what the tip tier costs. Your EVE Muse 3D + AI diagnosis produces the first two numbers before either device is written onto a plan.

Dear, Knowhow

How the RF tier gets chosen here

Both platforms stand in the same treatment corridor and both sit on the published list, so the tier that reaches your plan follows your skin thickness and the shot count the area needs.

01 — SHOT COUNT

300, 600, or a tier up

Density is sold in 300-shot sessions: ₩700,000 on the Classic tip, ₩900,000 on High, ₩1,300,000 on Alpha. A 600-shot Alpha session is ₩2,000,000, against ₩2,200,000 for the 600-shot Thermage tip — at the top of the range the two nearly meet.

02 — WHAT THE SCAN CHANGES

Thin skin caps the tier

Where the scan reads a thinned dermis over the cheek, your director drops a tier and covers the area more widely. Burns and blistering are the named risks of monopolar RF and they follow stacked energy, so spreading the shots is the safer route to the same firmness.

03 — DEVICE AND HANDS

Genuine tips, director in the room

Dear Clinic has held Thermage certification for three consecutive years and fits genuine tips. Density runs under the same directors. The certified consumable carries the energy profile, which is why the tip matters as much as the console.

Caution

After a Thermage or Density session

Redness and warmth over the treated area for a few hours is the usual picture.
A tight, tender feeling can sit on the cheek and jaw for a day or two.
Burns and blistering are rare with monopolar RF; if the skin breaks or a blister forms, call the same day.
No sauna, no hot yoga and no alcohol for a few days.
Keep acids, retinoids and scrubs off the treated area while it settles.
The follow-up call and aftercare visit are already paid for in the session.

FAQ

Thermage vs Density, answered

What actually differs between Thermage FLX and Density?
Both put monopolar radiofrequency into the dermis, so the target layer is identical. Thermage FLX comes from Solta Medical and is bought as a single 600-shot tip with AccuREP energy calibration for one full-face pass. Density comes from Jeisys Medical and is bought in 300-shot sessions on one of three tips — Classic, High or Alpha — so intensity and cost move together.
Why does a Thermage session cost more than three Density Classic sessions?
A Thermage FLX session is ₩2,200,000 and carries a genuine 600-shot tip, a single-use consumable. A 300-shot Density Classic session is ₩700,000. Step the Density tip up and the distance closes: High tip ₩900,000, Alpha ₩1,300,000 for 300 shots and ₩2,000,000 for 600.
Is the Density Alpha tip the same thing as Thermage?
No. They are separate platforms with separate consumables. Alpha is the strongest of Density's three tips and is the tier used when the scan reads thick, resilient skin. At 600 shots an Alpha session is ₩2,000,000 against ₩2,200,000 for the Thermage tip, so at the top of the range the price argument runs out and the skin reading decides.
Which Density tip tier will I be given?
Your director picks it from the EVE Muse 3D scan and the five-light-source reading. Classic goes on thinner or first-time skin, High tip where the dermis absorbs more without stacking, Alpha where the skin is thick and the laxity is settled. The tier and the shot count appear on the plan before anything is switched on.
Do I need 300 shots or 600?
Shot count follows the area being treated. Three hundred Density shots cover a lower face and jawline; a full face taking in forehead and neck usually needs the 600-shot session or a second visit. Thermage FLX has no smaller unit — it is sold only as the 600-shot full-face tip.
Will Thermage or Density lift my jowls?
Not on their own. Radiofrequency heats the dermis, and a jowl that has physically descended sits deeper, at the SMAS, where focused ultrasound works. If your scan shows descent instead of slack surface skin, we decline the RF booking and quote Ultherapy Prime at ₩400,000 per 100 shots or Shurink Universe at ₩150,000 per 300.
Can RF and HIFU sit in the same plan?
Yes, and the order matters. The usual sequence runs the focused-ultrasound session first for the deep layer, then the RF session at an interval your director sets, so the skin is never asked to heal two depths at once. Both classes of device are in this building, so that interval is planned once and booked once.
What does an RF pass feel like, and what can go wrong?
Each shot is a short pulse of heat with a snap of pressure behind it; cooling and a topical run through the session. Afterwards expect redness for a few hours and a tight, tender feeling for a day or two. The risks named for monopolar RF are burns and blistering, and rarely a patch of numbness — all of them tied to stacked energy, which is why your director works from the scan map instead of a preset.
Are the Thermage tips genuine at Dear Clinic?
Yes. Dear Clinic has held Thermage certification for three consecutive years, the certificate hangs in the clinic and is photographed on this page, and only genuine tips are fitted. With radiofrequency the certified consumable carries the energy profile and the safety limits, so it is not the place to economise.
Is there a Thermage option for the eye area?
Yes. Eye Thermage is a separate 450-shot session at ₩2,200,000, booked on its own or added to a full-face plan. It is written as its own line on the quote, so it never appears as an extra after the fact.
Can the RF session run on the same day as the consultation?
Usually. The EVE Muse scan and the doctor consultation take about half an hour, and if the tip your plan calls for is on the shelf the session follows immediately. Dear Clinic sees patients 365 days a year, weekends and public holidays included, which is what makes a single-trip visit workable.
Do visiting patients pay the Thermage and Density prices shown here?
Yes. One published list applies to everyone, and the figures on this page are the ones you will be quoted at the desk. The plan names the system, the tip tier and the shot count, and you approve that total before treatment begins.
