About

What is New Titanium?

New Titanium (Portra Quattro) is a multi-wavelength lifting laser treatment. Instead of a single depth, it layers laser energy across the skin to warm tissue broadly and stimulate gradual tightening — a gentle, comfortable approach to firming and texture, without surgery and with little downtime. At Dear Clinic it is measured in kilojoules of delivered energy, with a typical session at 40 kJ.

Because several wavelengths are delivered together, the warmth from a Titanium pass spreads instead of collecting at one focal depth. That is what makes it the lighter instrument in the lifting room: it is used for maintenance, for skin that does better with a milder session, and as one layer of a plan that also carries deeper technology. Firming builds over the weeks that follow.

Treatment Areas

Where New Titanium energy is placed

The 40 kJ is divided between zones at your 3D diagnosis, before the handpiece is switched on.

01

Full-face warming

Overall softness and early laxity where a gentle, even firming suits the skin best.

02

Mid-face tone

Mid-face tone that has begun to loosen, where broad layered warming suits the skin better than one deep focal point.

03

Jawline & contour

Softening jawline outline, especially for maintenance between deeper lifting sessions.

04

Neck, early laxity

Early neck laxity and texture, treated with a comfortable, low-downtime approach.

Why multi-wavelength

What Titanium does differently

Portra Quattro fires several wavelengths in the same pass. Three things follow from that.

POINT 01

Warmth laid in layers

Several wavelengths reach several depths in one pass, so the energy is laid across the skin in layers instead of stacking at a single focus. Broad, gradual firming is what that buys.

POINT 02

The mildest energy on this floor

Spread energy is tolerated better than focused energy. Most patients describe a Titanium pass as spreading warmth.

POINT 03

Priced by joules, so it stacks

Because Titanium is sold by delivered energy at ₩600,000 (≈ $430) per 40 kJ, it costs the same whether it stands alone or sits between two focused-ultrasound appointments. That is what makes it usable as a maintenance layer inside a longer lifting plan, and the sequence is set at diagnosis.

Why have New Titanium done at Dear

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

One of seven lifting platforms here

The lifting room holds two focused-ultrasound systems, three radiofrequency systems, one microwave device and this laser. Titanium is prescribed when the scan reads laxity that is early and evenly spread; when it reads descent sitting deeper than a laser can usefully warm, the director writes focused ultrasound or radiofrequency on the chart in the same appointment and prices it there.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

Kilojoules mapped from your 3D scan

Your EVE Muse capture and its five-light-source reading show where the skin runs thinnest and where slack has already set in. The 40 kJ of a session is then divided across those zones before the first pass: the forehead takes a smaller share than the jawline, and thin skin over bone takes less again. You see that split before the handpiece is switched on.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

Directors who pace the passes

With a layered laser the rhythm of the passes counts as much as the total energy: move too quickly and warmth never accumulates, linger too long and the skin says so. Every Titanium session here is performed by our directors, who read the skin's response between passes and adjust the pace by hand.

How much does New Titanium
cost in Seoul?

Titanium is not sold by the zone or by the minute — it is sold by delivered energy, because a multi-wavelength laser only does its job when enough joules actually reach the tissue. One 40 kJ session at Dear Clinic in Cheongdam is ₩600,000 (≈ $430), taken from the one published list that Korean patients are quoted from too. How those 40 kJ get divided between forehead, cheeks, jawline and neck is settled at your scan, so you know the split before the handpiece is switched on.

Published rate as of September 2026. The kilojoule split and the total are agreed while you are still in the consulting room, and nothing is added to either once the session starts. Comparing a course of Titanium against one deeper session is not arithmetic you should do alone: a laser priced per 40 kJ and focused ultrasound priced per shot answer different questions. Ask at consultation and both maps get priced for your face.

Caution

After New Titanium: your first days

A Titanium pass leaves a spread of warmth, so the flush that follows is usually broad, even and short-lived. Mild swelling in the first hours is ordinary.
Skin can feel tight and thirsty for a day or two after the passes. A bland moisturizer is the right answer; an active serum is not.
Keep extra heat off it for a few days: no sauna, no hot yoga, no alcohol, since all three re-flush skin that has just been warmed through.
Park retinoids, acids and scrubs until that tightness has gone, then pick your routine back up as usual.
Sunscreen matters more than usual here. Heat delivered into skin that then takes unprotected sun is the main route to post-inflammatory pigment change, and darker skin tones carry more of that risk. Anything that lingers — a blister, a burn-like mark, a patch that stays red past a few days — is reported on the follow-up call and reviewed in clinic.

FAQ

New Titanium, answered

Is New Titanium worth it?
Titanium is worth it when your laxity is early and evenly spread, or when you want a comfortable maintenance layer between deeper treatments. It is the wrong prescription when the descent sits at the deeper layer, because layered warmth will not reach it — in that case HIFU or radiofrequency is the better spend and the scan will show it plainly.
How is Titanium different from HIFU or Thermage?
Titanium is a multi-wavelength laser that spreads energy evenly across the skin for gentle, gradual firming. HIFU (like Ultherapy Prime or Shurink) focuses ultrasound at the deeper SMAS layer for lift, and Thermage's radiofrequency works broadly in the dermis. They address different depths, which is why the choice comes from your diagnosis.
How much does New Titanium cost in Seoul?
At Dear Clinic in Cheongdam, New Titanium (Portra Quattro) is ₩600,000 (≈ $430) for a 40 kJ session — the same published rate for locals and international visitors. The energy amount is planned from your 3D diagnosis, and the full plan is approved by you before treatment.
Does Titanium hurt?
Most patients find it comfortable — the even, multi-wavelength delivery makes Titanium one of the gentler lifting options, usually felt as a spreading warmth. Sensation varies by area and skin; your director adjusts delivery to keep the session tolerable.
Is there downtime after Titanium?
Practically none for most patients — mild warmth or redness settles within days, and you can return to normal plans the same day. Avoid saunas, alcohol and aggressive skincare briefly.
When do results appear, and how long do they last?
Skin often feels firmer soon after, but the fuller change builds over the following weeks as tissue tightens. Because Titanium is a gentler layer, many patients plan it in a series or as maintenance; duration varies by individual skin, age and lifestyle.
Can Titanium be combined with other lifting treatments?
Yes — Titanium pairs naturally with deeper technologies such as HIFU or radiofrequency, either as a maintenance layer or as a first step. At Dear Clinic the combination and sequence are designed at diagnosis, since every technology is in-house.
Can I have New Titanium the same day I come in for a consultation?
Usually, yes. The EVE 3D scan and the doctor's reading of it take around 30 minutes, and because a multi-wavelength laser needs no injection and no long numbing wait, a 40 kJ session can run straight afterwards once the director confirms it suits your skin. Visitors passing through Seoul for two or three days routinely do both in one visit — we open every day of the year, public holidays included.
Who is Titanium best suited to?
It suits early, overall softening and skin that prefers a milder session, as well as anyone wanting maintenance between deeper lifting. For more advanced laxity, your director may recommend a stronger option at diagnosis instead.
Do men get New Titanium too?
Yes — even firming and jawline definition are common requests. The energy plan is adjusted to skin thickness and area, which often differs for male patients.
Is New Titanium priced differently for visitors from abroad?
No. ₩600,000 (≈ $430) per 40 kJ is the identical line on the identical published list a Korean patient is quoted from. You settle it in KRW; the dollar figure on this page is only a courtesy conversion at the rate noted on our price list. How many kilojoules your plan calls for is fixed at the scan, so the total leaves the consulting room with you.
What does 40 kJ mean, and is a bigger number better?
A kilojoule is a measure of energy actually delivered into the tissue, and 40 kJ is the base unit Dear sells Titanium in. It is not a score to maximize. The 40 kJ is split between forehead, cheeks, jawline and neck at your scan, and thin skin over bone is deliberately given less than the jawline. Buying more joules than your face was mapped for is how a laser session stops being comfortable and starts risking a burn.
