Neck Lifting Treatment in Cheongdam, Gangnam, Seoul

A neck ages along three separate tracks — horizontal creasing in thin mobile skin, loosening with soft fullness under the chin, and the deep support that holds the jaw-to-neck angle. The EVE Muse reading scores them apart, and each track answers to a different instrument.

Definition

What neck lifting means here, with no incision involved

Neck lifting at Dear Clinic is energy and injection work aimed at the skin and soft tissue of the neck: focused ultrasound and radiofrequency to tighten, microwave to address water-rich fullness beneath the jaw, absorbable threads to hold the jaw-neck border, and small toxin doses placed into the horizontal creases. No skin is removed and no muscle is cut, which sets both the reach and the fixed ceiling of everything below.

Neck skin is a difficult field for a reason. It is thinner than the cheek above it, it slides over a broad flat muscle sheet, and it moves every time you swallow or turn your head. Settings that suit a forehead are wrong here, so depth and dose on the neck are chosen against a separate reading and never carried across from the face map.

This page is arranged by what the neck is doing. If you would sooner compare the machines themselves — depth, unit and base rate for each platform — that comparison lives on the lifting and tightening category page.

A client leans into the EVE 3D skin analysis unit while the scan is reviewed on a tablet
Thickness, elasticity and crease depth on the neck are scored on their own before any platform is named.
Three Tracks

Horizontal lines, slack skin and lost support age a neck differently

Most necks carry two of the three at once, in unequal proportion, and the proportion writes the plan.

TRACK 01

Horizontal creases across thin neck skin

The rings that sit across the front of the neck deepen where thin skin folds over a muscle sheet that contracts thousands of times a day. Posture and habitual downward gaze set them earlier than age alone would. They are a surface and muscle question, and they respond to small doses placed into the creases.

TRACK 02

Loosening with soft fullness under the chin

Where elasticity drops and a water-rich pad lingers beneath the chin, the jaw-to-neck angle fills in and the outline blurs from the side. This is the track that answers to heat-based work: microwave energy absorbed selectively by tissue that holds water, and radiofrequency across a dermis that has thinned.

TRACK 03

Support lost at the jaw-neck border

Deeper in, the fibrous layer that keeps the border crisp slackens and the whole lower face drifts toward the neck. Focused ultrasound reaches that layer, and absorbable threads move the border mechanically on the day. This is the track where a single surface treatment will disappoint you.

Vertical cords that spring forward when you tense the neck are a fourth pattern and are assessed on their own terms at the consultation, because their behaviour under contraction decides whether anything on this page applies.

Diagnosis

How the EVE Muse reading sorts a neck into one of three plans

EVE Muse captures in 3D under five light sources with AI analysis over the result. For a neck the figures that decide the route are skin thickness, elasticity and crease depth at rest compared with the same crease while the neck is tensed. Your director reads those beside a simple clinical check — how far the skin lifts between two fingers, and whether the fullness under the chin stays soft under pressure.
Creases deep at rest, skin still elastic. A toxin route into the horizontal lines is proportionate, and an energy session at the same visit would be spending for its own sake.
Elasticity down, fullness soft and water-rich under the jaw. Coolwaves™ microwave is the instrument designed for tissue that holds water, and it is dosed in kilojoules over the submental zone.
Dermis thinned across the whole front of the neck. Monopolar radiofrequency treats a wide field at dermal depth, delivered at settings set lower here than on the cheek.
The border between jaw and neck has genuinely dropped. Focused ultrasound at depth, or a thread vector anchored above the border, or both across separate appointments with a written interval.
Skin loose enough to gather in a fold that does not spring back. That reading points past what this page offers, and you are told so at the consultation.

Where the scan shows a neck whose skin is still thick and elastic and whose lines only appear on camera at a downward angle, we do not recommend any device session, and we would rather lose that booking than sell it.

The Routes

Every neck route Dear Clinic runs, with its published unit

Each item is stocked in the building and published on our rate list. Each also has a full page of its own with protocol and aftercare.

ROUTE 01

Small toxin doses into the horizontal neck creases

Botulinum toxin placed superficially along the crease lines, published by area and by tier, the same line that covers jawline and forehead work. Detail on the skin botox page.

ROUTE 02

Onda Coolwaves for the water-rich pad under the jaw

DEKA Coolwaves™ microwaves, which are neither radiofrequency nor laser, dosed in kilojoules and taken up by tissue that holds water. See the Onda lifting page.

ROUTE 03

Ultrasound for the layer under the neck skin

Shurink Universe at the accessible tier in 300-shot sessions, and Ultherapy Prime with DeepSEE™ imaging at 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm where the deep layer is the target. See Shurink Universe and Ultherapy Prime.

ROUTE 04

Radiofrequency and threads for the jaw-neck border

Monopolar radiofrequency with AccuREP™ sold as a 600-shot tip, and absorbable PDO or PCL threads priced per thread along a mapped vector. See Thermage FLX and the thread lift page.

Younger Necks

The phone-posture neck lines that arrive before forty

A growing share of neck enquiries here come from people in their late twenties and thirties whose skin quality is intact.

What the reading usually shows. Thickness and elasticity within range, one or two horizontal creases set deeper than the rest, and nothing meaningful under the chin. Descent is absent, so the deep-layer platforms have nothing to hold.
What we prescribe for it. Small superficial toxin doses into the creases that are actually deepening, reviewed once before anything else is discussed. That is a modest appointment and it is deliberately the whole plan.
What we decline for it. A young neck with sound elasticity does not need a 600-shot radiofrequency tip, and we will say so on the day even though the tip is sitting in the room.
What changes the answer. Sun history on the neck, significant weight change, or creases that stay carved when the chin is lifted — each of those moves the reading toward a genuine laxity plan.
Limits

Where non-surgical neck work reaches its ceiling

Naming the ceiling belongs in the diagnosis, and it takes four sentences.

Genuine skin excess. When the skin of the neck can be gathered into a fold that stays put, the excess itself is the problem and removing it is surgery. Dear Clinic does not perform neck lift surgery, and where the reading points there you hear it at the first appointment.
Standing vertical bands. Prominent cords that tent the skin forward at rest behave differently from crease lines, and how far they can be softened is judged individually at consultation.
Fat that is structural. Microwave energy works on a water-rich layer of limited thickness. A deep, firm submental volume is a different conversation and is not promised here.
Nothing on this page is permanent. Heat-built collagen is remodelled again, toxin effect fades, and threads absorb. A plan buys an interval and a review date.
Dear, Knowhow

Why a neck plan is written differently at Dear

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

Four kinds of physics reach the neck from one floor

Focused ultrasound, monopolar radiofrequency, Coolwaves™ microwave and a thread tray are all stocked across 5F and 7F, along with the toxin line used for crease work. When the answer for your neck is a small injection appointment and every console stays switched off, that answer costs us nothing to give.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

Neck skin is measured apart from the face

Thickness, elasticity, crease depth at rest and under tension. Four figures, then a route.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

Crease lines and thread vectors marked by the same hands

On a neck the margin for error is narrower than on a cheek: dose placed too deep near the front of the neck can affect swallowing, and a thread anchored too low pulls against movement. Your session is director-performed by the doctor who read the scan and drew the marks, and the same doctor sees you at review.

Reading Results

How to judge a neck result once the swelling has gone

The neck photographs badly, which makes fair comparison a skill worth having.

Chin position decides everything. Two centimetres of extra chin lift erases a crease and sharpens an angle without any treatment at all. Compare frames where the chin sits level and the gaze is straight ahead.
Light across the neck is directional. A lamp placed low fills the horizontal lines and a lamp placed high carves them. Matched lighting is the difference between a result and a photograph.
Give the mechanism its interval. Toxin work is judged at around two weeks; collagen-driven change from ultrasound or radiofrequency is judged at two to three months, never at the front desk on the way out.
Judge the profile angle before the ring count. The clinically useful question is whether the line from chin to the front of the neck reads cleaner in profile at the same distance and lens.

Pricing

How much does neck tightening
cost in Cheongdam?

A neck total follows the track, so the published units are what you should compare. Crease work is ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per area at the Korean tier, an entry ultrasound session is ₩150,000 (≈ $105) for 300 shots, a microwave session is ₩500,000 (≈ $355) at 60 kJ, a full radiofrequency tip is ₩1,900,000 (≈ $1,355), and threads are ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per thread once the vector map is drawn.

Those five figures buy five different units: a mapped area of injection, a block of ultrasound shots, an energy budget in kilojoules, one sealed consumable tip, and a count of threads. Ranking them by price tells you nothing useful about which one your neck needs. What sets your own total is which track dominates and how much of the field the plan covers, and both are written down and agreed before a consumable is opened.

Visitors from abroad pay the same published figures as Korean patients, with no surcharge of any kind. Where the deep layer is the target and Ultherapy Prime is the right instrument, the quote follows the shot map from your scan, which is why that row carries no single number. Consultation and follow-up arrangements are explained at your appointment.

If the reading says your neck needs nothing this year, that is the sentence you will get, and it costs us a booking instead of costing you a course.

Caution

Recovery on the neck, injection work and energy work compared

After crease injections. Pinpoint bruising is common on thin neck skin, with brief redness and small raised points that settle within the hour. Dose placed deeper than intended near the front of the neck can bring a temporary heaviness when swallowing or turning the head, which is why depth is the whole craft here.
After ultrasound or radiofrequency. Redness that fades within hours, and a tight, warm band across the treated field for some days. Because both work by heat, a burn is the named risk, so contact, cooling and the operator's hand pressure matter at every pass. Temporary numbness or tingling along the jaw line can occur and resolves.
After threads at the border. Swelling and bruising for several days, a pulling sensation when turning the head fully, and occasionally dimpling or a visible line along a thread path. Infection, asymmetry and a palpable knot are the rarer complications, reviewed by the director who placed them.
Common to all three. Saunas, hot yoga and alcohol wait a few days. High collars and scarves that rub are worth avoiding for the first nights, and the neck takes sunscreen daily even in winter because pigment there is slow to settle.
Call, do not wait. Lasting pain, spreading swelling, blistering, difficulty swallowing, numbness that does not resolve or any colour change means contacting the clinic immediately, before the scheduled review.

Tell your director about implanted electronic devices, thyroid surgery or thyroid disease, previous threads or filler in the neck, neuromuscular disorders, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Several of those change the route and one or two rule a session out entirely.

FAQ

Neck lifting in Seoul, answered

What does non-surgical neck lifting actually do?
It works on skin and soft tissue without removing either. Heat-based platforms contract and rebuild collagen at chosen depths, microwave energy targets a water-rich layer under the chin, threads reposition the jaw-neck border mechanically, and small toxin doses soften horizontal creases. Together they improve an outline by degrees measured from your own starting point.
Which treatment is right for horizontal neck lines?
Where the creases are the complaint and elasticity is still sound, small superficial toxin doses placed along the lines are the proportionate route, published at ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per area at the Korean tier. Where the same creases sit in skin that has clearly thinned, the injection alone will underperform and a dermal-depth energy session is discussed as well.
Can Thermage FLX be used on the neck?
Yes. The neck is one of the fields the monopolar radiofrequency platform treats here, delivered as a 600-shot tip at ₩1,900,000 (≈ $1,355). Neck skin is thinner than the cheek, so energy levels and pass pattern are set against the neck reading rather than carried over from a face protocol, and the coverage your plan calls for is confirmed at consultation.
Does Shurink Universe work on the neck?
It is our accessible focused-ultrasound tier and is planned in 300-shot sessions at ₩150,000 (≈ $105). It suits a neck showing early loss of support, and it suits upkeep between larger courses. Where the scan shows the deep layer has genuinely dropped, Ultherapy Prime with its imaging is the better-matched instrument and is quoted from the shot map.
How much does neck tightening cost in Seoul?
At Dear Clinic the neck routes are published separately: ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per injected area, ₩150,000 (≈ $105) for 300 ultrasound shots, ₩500,000 (≈ $355) for a 60 kJ microwave session, ₩1,900,000 (≈ $1,355) for a radiofrequency tip, and ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per thread. Your total depends on the dominant track and the coverage.
I am in my early thirties with phone-posture neck lines. What is sensible?
Usually crease-directed injections and nothing else. A neck that scores within range for thickness and elasticity has no descent for a deep platform to hold, so a large energy session would buy very little. We prefer one modest appointment, a review, and a conversation about daily sunscreen on the neck and the angle you hold your phone at.
Can threads lift the jaw-neck border?
Absorbable PDO and PCL threads are placed along a vector mapped above the border and do move tissue on the day, priced at ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per thread. They are the only mechanical option on this page. They suit a border that has clearly dropped in skin with reasonable quality, and they are a poor match where the skin envelope itself is loose.
Is Onda used on the neck, or only on the body?
The same Coolwaves™ microwave platform runs facial and body handpieces, and on this axis it is used for the soft, water-rich pad beneath the chin that blurs the jaw-to-neck angle, dosed at ₩500,000 (≈ $355) for 60 kJ. How much of the neck itself a given map covers is set at the consultation after the scan, since microwave energy needs that water-rich fullness to grip.
When will I see a change, and how long does it hold?
Crease injections read at roughly two weeks. Collagen-driven change from ultrasound or radiofrequency builds over two to three months, which is when your review is booked. We publish no month figure for duration because it turns on your age, skin thickness, sun history and how your collagen responds; your director gives a conservative expectation and a date to come back.
What are the risks of treating the neck?
Bruising, swelling and transient redness are the common ones. Heat platforms carry a burn risk and can leave temporary numbness along the jaw line. Toxin placed too deep at the front of the neck can bring temporary difficulty swallowing or neck weakness. Threads can dimple, and rarely bring infection, asymmetry or a palpable knot. All of these are named at consultation before consent.
Who should not have neck treatment here?
Anyone with active infection, inflammation or sunburn on the neck waits until it resolves. Implanted electronic devices and metal in the treatment field rule out or change an energy session. Neuromuscular disorders, pregnancy and breastfeeding change what is appropriate for injections. Where the skin gathers into a fold that stays put, that is surgical territory and we do not treat it here.
I am visiting Seoul for a few days. Can neck work fit?
The scan, consultation and one energy or injection session usually fit in a single appointment once suitability is confirmed. Thread work needs more room in the calendar because of swelling. We open weekdays 10:00 to 19:00 and 10:00 to 16:00 at weekends and public holidays — 365 days, with no lunch-hour close. Send your dates and we reply in English as soon as possible.
