The clinic was very professional from start to finish. Doctor Jung was excellent and gentle with the treatment. I felt well looked after and everyone was outstanding. Happy with my service!

The fine vertical lines above the upper lip appear in people who have never smoked. They come from muscle movement, from thin skin over that muscle, and from the loss of the small volume that used to hold the lip border out — and those three are treated differently.
The popular name is misleading. Smoking is one accelerant among several, and the same lines appear on people who have never held a cigarette, particularly those with fair, thin skin, a long sun history or a habit of drinking through straws. What the name does get right is the mechanism: repeated pursing of the mouth, thousands of times a week.
The skin here is among the thinnest on the face and sits directly on moving muscle with very little fat between them. That anatomy is why the area is priced as a specialty zone at this clinic, why the volumes involved are small, and why the doctor who marks the plan is the doctor who injects it.
Look in a mirror at rest, then purse your lips. The difference between the two views is most of the diagnosis.
Lines that deepen sharply when you purse and soften at rest are being driven by the circular muscle around the mouth. Movement is the input, so reducing the strength of that pull is the lever that addresses them.
Visible in a relaxed face, unchanged when you stop moving. The crease is now a structural feature of the skin, and softening movement alone leaves it visible. Something has to be placed into the line itself.
The ridge running up from the lip edge loses definition with age, so the skin above it has less support and folds more easily. Lipstick beginning to travel up the lines is the everyday sign of this one.
Crepe-like quality, fine crosshatching, skin that looks papery under a raking light. Here the useful work is on the skin itself, and it is slower and cheaper than anything injected for volume.
Most upper lips carry a mixture, commonly movement plus a flattened border, and a plan written against only one of them is the usual reason a result looks incomplete a month later.
Two further things are checked before anything is drawn. The first is the definition of the lip border and how much of the line is a consequence of it flattening. The second is how you use your mouth — a wind instrument, a straw habit or heavy speaking work all change what is sensible to weaken and by how much.
The capture is stored and brought back at review. Lines around the mouth are short, shallow and easy to over-read in a phone camera, so the comparison is made in the same room under the same five light sources.
The area around the mouth is a specialty zone on our list, which is why its filler rates differ from a cheek or a nose.
| Route | What it does | Contributor it answers | Unit | Listed rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Specialty-area filler, The Chaeum | Hyaluronic acid from Hugel placed in the specialty zone around the mouth, layered by depth and delivered in 0.1 cc increments. | Etched lines and a flattened lip border | 1 cc | ₩300,000 (≈ $215) |
| Specialty-area filler, imported product | The same specialty-zone work using an imported hyaluronic acid, selected for the rheology the plan calls for. | Etched lines where a different gel behaviour suits the tissue | 1 cc | ₩500,000 (≈ $355) |
| Special-area botulinum toxin, Korean tier | The special-area line on our published list, dosed in very small amounts to reduce the strength of a pull around the mouth. | Lines driven by movement | Per area | ₩60,000 (≈ $45) |
| Rejuran Healer, 2 cc | Polydeoxyribonucleotide from PharmaResearch placed across the field to work on the quality of the skin itself. | Thin, crepe-like, sun-worn skin above the lip | 2 cc | ₩300,000 (≈ $215) |
Listed rates as of September 2026 in KRW with an approximate USD figure beside them, identical for residents and for visitors from abroad. Which product, which areas and how much of a syringe your plan uses are written down at the consultation with the total, where any fee for products or follow-up visits is also explained. Whether toxin is appropriate around your own mouth is a decision made at that consultation.
Full pages sit behind each route: dermal fillers as a category, lip filler for the lip body itself, wrinkle botox for movement lines on the upper face, and Rejuran Healer for skin quality. Every figure at the clinic is published on the price list.
Four routes and the reading behind each, in the order the consultation works through them.
Where the reading shows fine lines within range for your age and the complaint comes from a front-facing phone camera held at arm’s length, we do not recommend treating them and will show you the capture instead.
The realistic target is softer, shallower lines and a lip border that holds its shape, measured against your own starting capture. Deep grooves are softened and seldom erased. Nothing here is lasting: hyaluronic acid is broken down by the body, toxin effects wear off, and the muscle that made the lines keeps working. Results vary between individuals, and surgical and dental approaches to the lower face are outside what is offered at this clinic.
The risks around the mouth deserve naming. Filler anywhere on the face carries bruising, swelling, tenderness, lumps and the possibility of vascular occlusion, where product enters or compresses a vessel; the facial and labial vessels run close to this zone, and the literature on facial danger zones and on visual loss after aesthetic filler injection is cited at the foot of this page for that reason. Superficial placement in thin skin can also leave a visible bluish shadow. Hyaluronidase, the enzyme used to dissolve hyaluronic acid, is stocked and its role is covered in one of the references below. Toxin near the mouth carries its own specific risks: temporary weakness affecting speech, whistling, drinking through a straw, or an asymmetric smile if it spreads beyond the intended fibres. All of these are discussed before you consent.
The cheapest route on this page and the specialty-area filler rates sit on one published list at 5F and 7F. When the reading says movement is doing the work, the small line is quoted even though it costs us the difference against a syringe.
A still capture plus a moving one. The gap between them decides whether the answer is placed in the line or aimed at the muscle under it.
Perioral work is anatomically layered, deep to superficial, in increments of 0.1 cc, and the difference between a softened line and a swollen upper lip is a fraction of a syringe. Your session is director-performed by the doctor who marked the plan, and the same doctor sees you at review.

Comfort measures during the session are confirmed with your director at the consultation. The clinic opens 365 days a year with consultation conducted in English, so a review appointment can usually be placed before you fly.

I've visited clinic for LDM procedure. I don't speak Korean, so there was an interpreter who assisted me while consulting. The staff was very attentive, they asked me every time before applying products/covering my face during the procedure and it went smoothly. Planning to visit the clini…
All the staff are kind, the doctor is professional. They recommended us the treatment that fit us best and last the longest. A very nice experience overall.
I did a hydrofacial, white/black head removal, and 1 day lasers. Really kind staff and reasonable prices. The only thing I would advise is that your first consultation is with a salesperson and you don’t see the doctor until after you decide what you want and after you pay.
Had a great experience here as a foreigner! The doctors and staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy. They made recommendations in my consultation and were happy to work within my budget.

The six references below sit behind the two families used on this page. Three concern hyaluronic acid safety and behaviour: an anatomical account of the facial danger zones during soft-tissue filler injection, a literature review of visual loss after aesthetic facial filler, and a paper on the rheologic and physicochemical properties that differentiate one hyaluronic acid product from another.
A fourth reviews the use of hyaluronidase, the enzyme that dissolves those products. The last two concern botulinum toxin type A: a global evidence-based consensus initiative in aesthetic medicine, and a paper on the pharmaceutical, biological and clinical properties of the products themselves. Each reference resolves through its DOI to an indexed journal, and none of them describes this clinic or predicts your outcome.
References are provided for information — outcomes vary by individual and are assessed at your diagnosis.
