Face Volume Loss Treatment in Cheongdam, Gangnam, Seoul

Two published routes answer a deflating face here. Hyaluronic acid replaces a measured contour by the cubic centimetre; a collagen-stimulating vial or hybrid works on the tissue itself across a course. Which one your face is asking for is settled at the reading, before anything is opened.

The Direct Answer

What a face volume loss plan at Dear Clinic actually replaces

A deflating face is rarely one deficit. Fat compartments lose bulk, the facial skeleton recedes beneath them, and the dermis loses thickness above. Hyaluronic acid restores a measurable contour in cubic centimetres. A poly-L-lactic acid vial or a PDLLA hybrid instead asks the tissue to rebuild across a course. The 3D reading decides which.

The distinction matters because the two routes fail in different ways when they are misapplied. Gel placed into skin that has thinned diffusely tends to read as a patch somewhere it was never wanted. A collagen-stimulating course prescribed for a sharply defined hollow can disappoint, because it builds slowly and broadly while the complaint was narrow and structural.

So the consultation is spent on one question before it is spent on any product. Is the face short of shape, or short of substance? Both answers are common past the mid-thirties, and plenty of faces return both at once.

Three Layers Of Loss

Three separate things happen when a face loses volume

They arrive together and look like one change in the mirror. They are treated differently.

What changesHow it reads in the mirrorWhat it asks of the plan
Fat pad deflationFacial fat sits in discrete compartments. As those empty and shift downward, the upper cheek flattens while the lower face gains weight it did not have before, and a shadow appears at the transition between them.A defined contour deficit. This is the finding that hyaluronic acid answers directly, placed deep where the compartment used to sit.
Bone remodellingThe orbital rim opens, the mid-face platform retreats and the jaw angle softens over decades. Nothing on the surface has moved, yet every soft tissue above it now has less to sit on.Deep structural support. Volume is placed against what remains of the platform, so the soft tissue above regains a shelf to sit on.
Dermal thinningSkin becomes finer and less springy, light no longer bounces off it evenly, and creases hold their shape after the expression has ended. The face can look tired at a volume the contour has barely lost.Collagen stimulation across a course. The target here is the quality of the tissue itself, which no single syringe of gel can change.

Any one of the three can dominate a particular face. Reading which one is dominant is the whole job of the first appointment, and it is why a plan written for your neighbour is worthless to you.

The Diagnosis

How the EVE Muse reading separates a hollow face from a thin one

Your face is captured on the EVE Muse 3D unit under five light sources before any route is named. Multi-angle imaging gives the director the depth of each depression, the plane it falls away on and the symmetry between the two halves, while the surface channels report texture and the condition of the dermis. Those are two different datasets, and a volume decision needs both.

A deep, localised, asymmetric depression with good overlying skin behaves as a structural problem. Broad flatness with fine crepey texture and slow recoil behaves as a tissue problem. Where the reading returns the first pattern, gel is prescribed by the cubic centimetre. Where it returns the second, a collagen-stimulating course is the better use of your money and your calendar.

Your director performs every injection here, so the person who interpreted the scan is the person holding the syringe. Where the reading finds that the complaint is descent and not deflation, we do not recommend adding volume at all, and the conversation moves to the lifting category instead. Filling a face that has dropped only makes it heavier.

Multi-spectrum capture. Depth on one channel, dermal condition on another, both before a route is chosen.
The Two Routes

Hyaluronic acid or collagen stimulation, compared on a deflated face

Both are performed at Dear Clinic. They are not interchangeable, and the published card prices them on different units.

Hyaluronic acid, per ccCollagen stimulation, per vial or cc
What it isCross-linked hyaluronic acid gel. The Chaeum is the Korean family stocked here; Restylane and Juvederm are the imported structured lines.Sculptra is poly-L-lactic acid, supplied by the vial. Juvelook is a PDLLA and hyaluronic acid hybrid, supplied by the cubic centimetre.
What it doesOccupies space. The gel itself is the correction, so the contour it creates is there the moment placement finishes.Prompts your own tissue to lay down collagen. The injected material is the stimulus, and the change accumulates in the weeks after the appointment instead of during it.
What it suitsA defined, mappable deficit: a flattened upper cheek, a retreated temple line, a groove with a clear edge to it.Broad, diffuse thinning where no single edge can be drawn, and skin quality that has declined alongside the volume.
How it is measuredIn tenths of a cubic centimetre, zone by zone, agreed with you before the first syringe is opened.Sculptra by whole vials across a planned course; Juvelook by the cubic centimetre, with the Volume line kept off the forehead and the under-eye.
ReversibilityHyaluronic acid responds to a hyaluronidase enzyme injection, so a placement can be reduced or cleared. No enzyme reverses a collagen-stimulating injectable. This is the reason the course is planned conservatively and reviewed between steps.

01 — THE GEL CARD

Three hyaluronic acid families, chosen on physical properties

Cross-linked gels differ measurably in firmness, cohesivity and how they behave under load, which is why the family is picked from the scan and not from the price column. A structural mid-face placement and a fine surface correction ask for different material.

02 — THE VIAL

Sculptra, where the loss is broad and the skin is thin

Poly-L-lactic acid has been studied as a volumising agent for the ageing face in the indexed literature for close to two decades. It works gradually, which suits diffuse loss and frustrates anyone expecting a result on the day.

03 — THE HYBRID

Juvelook, sitting between the two routes

A PDLLA and hyaluronic acid hybrid, so the hyaluronic component gives some immediate hydration while the polymer component drives the slower collagen response. Published comparisons of the early-stage volume behaviour of the two polymer types exist, and the director will talk you through what they do and do not show.

Order Of Operations

The order a mixed volume plan is run in at Dear

Many faces need both routes. Doing them in the wrong sequence wastes material.

01
Structure First

Rebuild the platform before anything is judged on the surface

Where the reading found a skeletal or deep compartment deficit, that goes first, because everything above it will sit differently once it is corrected. A surface assessment taken before the deep support is placed will over-estimate what the skin needs.

02
Review, Then Stimulate

The collagen route is started once the structural result has settled

Swelling distorts any reading of facial fullness for a period after injection, so the stimulation plan is confirmed at a review appointment instead of being booked blind the same afternoon. Frequently the quantity needed turns out to be smaller than the first estimate.

03
Course, Not Session

Collagen stimulation is spaced and reassessed between steps

Because a stimulated result accumulates, each step is judged against the last before the next is agreed. Your director gives you the expected pattern for the specific product in your plan; this page publishes no timeline, because the range depends on the material, the quantity and your own tissue.

04
Top-Up By Deficit

Anything added later is quoted on what actually goes in

Hyaluronic acid billing follows the cubic centimetre and Sculptra billing follows the vial, so a small correction at a review is a small quote. Volume is never stacked to buy time; where that is the request, we do not recommend it and the discussion returns to proportion.

A collagen-stimulating course photographs differently, because the change is spread across a wider field and appears between appointments. Case images for that route sit on the Sculptra page and the Juvelook page.

Published Rates

What each face volume route is listed at

There is no package price for facial volume, because no two faces need the same quantity. The card publishes a unit rate for every material, the quantity is agreed at your diagnosis, and the total is the arithmetic of those two figures before treatment starts.
MaterialUnitListed rate
The Chaeum1 cc, general facial area₩130,000 (≈ $95)
Restylane1 cc₩350,000 (≈ $250)
Juvederm1 cc₩400,000 (≈ $285)
Juvelook1 cc, Skin or Volume line₩100,000 (≈ $70)
Sculptra1 vial₩1,000,000 (≈ $715)

Specialty areas such as the lips and the temple carry their own line on the filler card and are quoted separately. Residents and visiting patients read the same published card. What a consultation or a later review appointment is charged at is advised to you directly at the diagnosis, along with the quantity. The dermal filler hub sets out every area and family, the skin booster category covers the stimulation side, and the transparent price list carries the rest of the clinic.

Recovery And Risk

Recovery and risk across both volume routes

Bruising and swelling are ordinary on both routes. Any needle passing through facial tissue can catch a small vessel, and the mid-face bruises readily. Swelling distorts the shape for a period afterwards, which is precisely why the result is assessed at a review appointment and never on the way out of the door.
Lumps and palpable firmness can occur. With gel this is usually a placement or a quantity issue and is generally correctable, including by dissolving. With a collagen-stimulating injectable, firm areas or nodules are a recognised event, which is one more reason the course is built conservatively and reviewed between steps.
The serious risks are vascular. Material entering an artery can cause skin necrosis and, very rarely, visual loss. The facial danger zones are mapped in the anatomical literature listed at the foot of this page, and injection here is slow, low-pressure and planned against that mapping by the director who read your scan.
Aftercare is simple and worth following. The clinic's own guidance for its collagen-stimulating injectables asks for gentle cleansing for the first day or two, and no scrubs, alcohol or smoking for the following week. Comfort measures before and during the appointment are confirmed with you at consultation.
Some faces are turned away. Active infection or inflammation in the intended area, a bleeding tendency or anticoagulant therapy that has not been discussed with the prescribing doctor, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and a history of reaction to a previous injectable all stop an appointment at the consultation. A request for a quantity the face cannot carry is also declined, and we say so on the day.
FAQ

Face volume loss treatment, question by question

What actually causes facial volume loss?
Three processes running in parallel. Discrete fat compartments deflate and migrate downward, the bone platform beneath them recedes over decades, and the dermis above loses thickness and elasticity. Because they arrive together, a mirror reports one vague change while the three need different answers. The EVE Muse reading is what separates them, and the route follows from the finding.
How much does face volume loss treatment cost in Cheongdam?
It depends entirely on the material and the quantity, both of which are agreed before treatment. Hyaluronic acid is published per cubic centimetre: ₩130,000 (≈ $95) for The Chaeum, ₩350,000 (≈ $250) for Restylane, ₩400,000 (≈ $285) for Juvederm. Collagen stimulation is published as ₩1,000,000 (≈ $715) per Sculptra vial and ₩100,000 (≈ $70) per cubic centimetre of Juvelook. Your total is the unit rate multiplied by the agreed quantity.
Is hyaluronic acid or collagen stimulation better for a deflated face?
Neither is better in the abstract; they answer different findings. A defined, mappable hollow with sound skin over it is a job for gel, because gel occupies space immediately and can be shaped to an edge. Broad flatness with fine, slack, crepey skin is a job for stimulation, because the deficiency lies in the tissue itself and not in the shape. The scan tells the director which description fits your face.
Can both routes be used in the same plan?
Often, and it is one of the more common prescriptions past forty. The sequence matters: deep structural support is placed first, the result is allowed to settle, and the stimulation plan is then confirmed at a review. Assessing skin quality while the face is still swollen leads to buying more product than the face needs.
How soon does a collagen-stimulating injectable show?
Not on the day, and that expectation has to be set before you pay for it. These materials work by prompting your own tissue to respond, so the change accumulates between appointments instead of appearing during one. No fixed timeline is published on this page. Your director explains the pattern for the specific product and quantity in your plan at the consultation.
Are there areas where Juvelook Volume is not used?
Yes. The clinic's own guidance excludes the forehead and the under-eye from Volume line placement. Those regions have their own anatomy and their own published options, and a material that behaves well across a cheek is not automatically appropriate beside an eye. Where the complaint sits in one of those zones, a different route is named at the consultation.
Will replacing volume make my face look bigger?
Only if the quantity exceeds what the proportions carry, which is why the plan is written in tenths of a cubic centimetre against a measured deficit and not against a look. Restoring a compartment that has emptied returns a shape the face used to hold. Adding past that point changes the face into a different one, and that request is declined here.
Who should not have a facial volume treatment?
Anyone with active infection or inflammation in the target area, an untreated bleeding tendency or anticoagulant therapy not cleared with the prescribing doctor, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or a previous reaction to an injectable of the same class. Beyond those, a face whose dominant problem is descent instead of deflation is turned away from volume and redirected to lifting.
What are the risks of injecting volume into the face?
Bruising and swelling are routine and settle. Lumps or asymmetry can occur and are usually correctable, and hyaluronic acid additionally responds to a hyaluronidase enzyme injection. The serious risks are vascular: material entering an artery can cause skin necrosis and, very rarely, visual loss. Slow low-pressure placement in mapped planes by the treating director is the mitigation, and the anatomical papers behind that mapping are listed below.
How many syringes or vials will I need?
No responsible number exists before the scan. Two faces with the same complaint routinely need different quantities, and the two halves of a single face frequently differ from each other. The quantity is written zone by zone from the 3D reading, shown to you with the arithmetic attached, and approved before anything is opened.
Is the published rate the same for international patients?
Yes. One card applies to residents and to visiting patients alike, and consultation is available in English. Because both routes are billed on units of material, the figure you approve is traceable to the cubic centimetres or vials written on your plan, and it is fixed before treatment begins.
