The short answer

What a laser treatment price is actually quoting

"Laser treatment" is not one purchase at Dear Clinic. It is twelve separately published lines, each attached to a different way of putting energy into skin: low-fluence toning courses, a 532/1064 nm vascular and pigment platform, radiofrequency microneedling, a needle-free jet injector, insulated-needle radiofrequency, mechanical scar release, and ablative work charged per lesion.

Which of those your face needs is a diagnosis, and the diagnosis comes before any figure. A muddy, edgeless tone across whole zones and a single sharp brown spot are not the same finding, and they do not land on the same line of the price sheet. One is bought as a course of low-energy passes; the other can be a one-minute piece of ablative work billed by the lesion.

So the useful question is rarely "what does a laser cost in Seoul". It is "which of these twelve lines is my skin on, and how many units of it". The category as a whole is mapped on the laser, pigment and acne hub, and every figure quoted here also appears on the clinic price list.

These are the clinic's currently published rates, shown in Korean won with a dollar figure beside them for orientation; settlement happens in won and the conversion will not match a card statement to the cent. One sheet applies to Korean and international patients, with nothing added for a foreign passport. Costs beyond the treatment line itself — consultation arrangements, any aftercare product, any comfort measure — are confirmed at consultation before anything is agreed.

Line by Line

What each laser line on the sheet is buying you

The figures only make sense next to the machine behind them. These are the platforms the twelve lines are attached to, described as the clinic's device records describe them.

Route 01

Toning courses, dual and triple

Low-fluence 1064 nm passes, repeated. Sold by the visit or in ten-visit blocks because the change is cumulative.

Route 02

Excel V for vessels and defined pigment

Cutera's 532 and 1064 nm vascular and pigment laser. Two wavelengths, chosen lesion by lesion.

Route 03

Potenza needle radiofrequency

Energy delivered below the surface through needles. A standard tip line and a pumping-tip line are published separately.

Route 04

Agnes insulated-needle radiofrequency

An insulated needle protects the epidermis while radiofrequency heats the target gland — the reason this line exists for active and recurrent acne.

Route 05

CureJet, needle-free delivery

A jet injector that pushes material through the skin surface without a needle, priced by the full-face pass.

Route 06

Subcision for tethered scars

A needle releases the fibrous bands pulling a rolling scar down. Mechanical work, not light, and priced as its own sitting.

Route 07

CO2 and erbium, per lesion

Ablative removal of one discrete thing at a time. The only line here counted by the lesion instead of by the visit.

Route 08

The one-day custom appointment

A single published figure for a day built around your reading. What goes into it is set with the director beforehand.

Two of these lines deserve a caveat about what they are not. Toning is a course of deliberately low energies, and low energies asked to do too much for too long carry their own pigmentary risk; the literature on repeated low-fluence 1064 nm treatment for melasma includes reports of mottled hypopigmentation, which is why sessions get stopped rather than stacked. And the brand and generation of the toning platform itself is one detail we do not state on this page, because our written device record does not fix it.

How the Counting Works

Per visit, per ten-visit block, per lesion: three ways a laser quote is built

Per visit. Most lines here are one appointment, one figure. Excel V at ₩150,000 (≈ $105), Potenza with the standard tip at ₩250,000 (≈ $180), the full-face Agnes sitting at ₩250,000 (≈ $180) and the full-face CureJet pass at ₩500,000 (≈ $355) all work that way. If you come twice, you are quoted twice.

Per ten-visit block. Toning is the exception, and it is an exception with a reason. Low-fluence work asks the skin to shift gradually across many gentle passes, so the clinic publishes both a single visit and a block of ten — ₩200,000 (≈ $145) against ₩1,500,000 (≈ $1,070) on the dual programme, ₩300,000 (≈ $215) against ₩2,500,000 (≈ $1,785) on the triple. Divide the block by ten and you can see what the block is doing to the per-visit figure yourself. A block is only worth buying when the diagnosis supports ten visits; if your pigment has not moved by the third, we will tell you to stop and the remaining visits stay unused instead of being spent to empty the card.

Per lesion. Ablative CO2 and erbium work is billed at ₩10,000 (≈ $5) for each lesion treated, so a single raised spot and a scattered dozen are arithmetically different appointments. This is the line people are usually surprised by, in the direction of it being smaller than expected.

And one combined line. The pumping-tip Potenza figure, ₩500,000 (≈ $355), covers the device work and 5cc of the chosen material together, because the two are not separable in that session. It sits above the standard-tip line for that reason.

Read the Figure Carefully

What a published laser figure does not settle on its own

A rate tells you what one unit of one line costs. It does not tell you how many units your face needs, and it cannot, because that is the reading. Four things sit outside the number on the sheet, and all four are settled with you before treatment begins.

Risks belong in the same paragraph as the price, because they are part of what you are buying. Redness and mild swelling after a pass are ordinary. Crusting follows ablative work on a lesion by design. Bruising is possible with needling and with subcision. Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and in repeated low-fluence toning the opposite problem of mottled hypopigmentation, are the outcomes that make us cut a course short. Individual results vary, and no published figure is a statement about what your skin will do.

Dear, Knowhow

How a laser quote at Dear gets written down

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

Twelve laser and energy lines, all published, all quotable

Because toning, Excel V, Potenza, Agnes, CureJet, subcision and ablative spot work are all on one sheet here, the consultation can move between them without moving between prices we would rather you paid. The cheapest line on this table is the per-lesion one, and plenty of appointments end there. When the reading says the answer is a single spot removed in a minute, that is what gets written down, and the toning block does not get mentioned.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

EVE Muse separates red from brown before any line is picked

EVE Muse 3D capture with five light sources and AI analysis sorts vascular from pigmentary findings and reads depth. The line follows the finding.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

The hand on the handpiece is a director's

Energy settings, pass counts and where to stop are decisions, so treatment here is director-performed. If the reading does not support a course, we do not recommend one, and the figure you leave with is smaller than the one you arrived expecting.

Budget

Spending a fixed budget across the laser sheet

There is a sensible order to this, and it starts with the discrete before the diffuse. Anything with a defined edge — a single raised lesion, one vessel, one sharp spot — is usually the smallest figure on the sheet and the most visible change per won spent. Diffuse problems, the muddy zones and the general dullness, are where courses live, and courses are where budgets go.

Second, buy one route properly before buying two badly. A half-hearted toning course alongside a half-hearted needling course generally reads as no change at all, while either of them run to the end of its plan reads as something. Third, treat the ten-visit block as a decision made after the first two or three visits, not before them: the single-visit line exists precisely so that you can test the response before committing the block.

And there is one budget move worth naming as a poor one. Asking for a stronger setting to compress a course into fewer visits changes the risk profile of the treatment without reliably changing the result, and it is the request we decline most often on this floor.

FAQ

Laser pricing in Cheongdam, line by line

What is the cheapest laser treatment on the Dear Clinic price sheet?
Ablative work charged per lesion, at ₩10,000 (≈ $5) for each one treated. It is the only line counted by the lesion instead of by the visit, which is why a single raised spot can be a very small appointment. It is also the narrowest line: it removes one defined thing and does nothing for tone across a zone.
How much does one laser toning session cost here?
₩200,000 (≈ $145) for a single dual toning visit with the in-clinic skincare the line carries, and ₩300,000 (≈ $215) for a single visit of the triple programme. Both are also published as ten-visit blocks, at ₩1,500,000 (≈ $1,070) and ₩2,500,000 (≈ $1,785) respectively.
Is the ten-session toning block cheaper per visit than paying each time?
Do the division and see for yourself: the block figures and the single-visit figures are both published above, so the per-visit effect of a block is arithmetic you can check for yourself instead of a claim we make. What matters more is whether ten visits are clinically justified for your pigment, which is a question the first two or three answer.
Why is Potenza published at two different rates?
Because two different sessions are being sold. The standard tip line is ₩250,000 (≈ $180) for the device work. The pumping-tip line is ₩500,000 (≈ $355), and that figure covers the tip work together with 5cc of Juvelook or exosome material delivered through it, which the standard line does not involve.
Does the Excel V rate cover skincare afterwards?
No. The Excel V line at ₩150,000 (≈ $105) is written for the laser pass itself, and the clinic's own label on that line says so. The toning programme lines are written differently, with in-clinic skincare named in the line. Anything else you would like added is quoted at the consultation before you agree to it.
What is the Dear Custom One-Day Laser?
A single-day custom laser appointment published at ₩400,000 (≈ $285). What it contains is built around your reading and set with the director before the day, so the composition is confirmed at consultation instead of being fixed on a web page.
How many laser sessions will I actually need?
That is the part no price sheet can answer. Depth, duration, skin type and what has already been done to the area all move the number. We give a count after the EVE Muse reading and a look at the skin in person, and we revise it out loud if the first sessions say something different.
Do international patients pay a different laser rate?
No. One published sheet applies to everyone, with nothing added for a foreign passport. Payment is settled in Korean won at the desk; the dollar figures beside the rates track an exchange rate and are for planning only.
Can several of these lines be done in one appointment?
Sometimes, and when they can, each line is quoted separately and added. A vascular pass and a per-lesion removal can sit in one visit comfortably. Stacking two aggressive routes on the same skin on the same day is a different proposition, and it is one we usually split across visits.
What if the price I want does not match the treatment I need?
Then we say so before you pay. The awkward version of this conversation runs in both directions: sometimes the useful answer is that your finding sits on a smaller line than you came in asking for, and sometimes it is that no line on this sheet is the right tool and the plan belongs on another page of the menu.
Are there laser treatments you decline to sell?
Yes. We do not recommend a toning course for pigment the reading says will not answer to it, and we stop a course early when repeated low-fluence work starts to show mottled hypopigmentation instead of clearing. Pushing energy up to compress a plan into fewer visits is the other request we turn down.
Can I have a laser treatment on the day I come in?
Often yes, because the clinic opens 365 days a year and the reading, the consultation and a single-visit line can sit inside one appointment. Ablative per-lesion work and a first toning visit are the two most commonly done same-day. Anything that needs planning across sessions gets scheduled instead.

Scientific Evidence

Why a toning course is sold in a limited number of visits

The most expensive lines on the sheet above are the ten-visit toning blocks, so the published work on repeated low-fluence 1064 nm treatment is the literature a buyer of this page has most reason to read. The three references below cover long-term results of low-fluence Q-switched Nd:YAG for melasma, the same laser compared with intense pulsed light, and the melanin and melanocyte changes found in mottled hypopigmentation after such treatment.

They are listed so the limits of the route can be read at the source instead of taken on our word. None of them prices anything, and none of them predicts what one face will do.
