Body Contouring in Cheongdam, Gangnam, Seoul

Non-surgical contouring works on one mapped area at a time. Dear Clinic runs two published body lines — a microwave session dosed in kilojoules and a mapped injection area — and each of them answers a different complaint.

Definition

What body contouring changes, and what it leaves alone

Body contouring at Dear Clinic means changing the outline of one mapped area — an abdomen, a flank, an upper arm, an inner thigh — without surgery. It is an area treatment and never a weight treatment. Your scales are not the measure of it; the border drawn on your skin at the consultation is.

That distinction decides who benefits. The complaint these routes answer is a local one: a roll that stays after the rest of the body has settled, softness along a flank that resists training, an arm that reads heavier than its frame. What they do not answer is a general wish to be smaller. Nothing on this page is a weight-loss treatment, nothing here substitutes for surgery, and no clinic can promise a centimetre figure in advance.

This page compares the body lines against each other. The wider category, which also covers wellness drips and other body care, sits on the body and wellness page, and each route below has a full page of its own.

The Routes

The two body lines on the Dear price list

Every item below appears on our published rate list. Nothing here is a package name written for a landing page.

LINE 01

Onda body, an 80 kJ Coolwaves session

DEKA Coolwaves™ microwaves at 2.45 GHz delivered through a dedicated body handpiece and dosed as a kilojoule budget. The same platform family as our facial Onda, with a larger energy allowance for a larger surface. Detail on the Onda body page.

LINE 02

Lipolysis injection, 40 cc per mapped area

An injection route quoted by the area at a fixed 40 cc volume, placed across a grid drawn on the skin while you stand. Session counts are set at review. Detail on the lipolysis injection page.

A NOTE ON THE LIST

G-Wave / Eve Synergy care is facial skin care, not a body line

The G-Wave / Eve Synergy care on our published list is a facial radiofrequency skin-care session, in which G-Wave radiofrequency is delivered to the dermis for hydration and skin elasticity. It is not a body-contouring treatment, so it is not offered as a route on this page. Its rate appears in the table below for reference, and the session is explained to you in person at the consultation.

Prescription Logic

Which body route your own complaint points to

A body consultation at Dear pairs the EVE Muse 3D and AI capture with a hands-on examination of the area itself, because a body map is made by hand. What your director is separating is soft tissue volume from slackness in the skin above it from shape that is set by muscle. Those three read alike in a mirror and are budgeted completely differently.
A defined pocket inside a body that is otherwise stable. The mapped injection area is the proportionate route, quoted per area and reviewed before it is repeated.
Soft fullness with laxity in the skin over it. A microwave session is dosed across the whole area in kilojoules, which suits a surface that needs treating as a field.
A calf or shoulder line set by muscle bulk. Neither of the two above will change it. Botulinum toxin is the instrument that acts on muscle, and it is quoted on its own page.
Skin that is genuinely loose after significant weight change. Energy work softens the picture only to a degree, and surgical removal is the procedure that takes skin away. We do not perform that surgery here, and we say so when the examination points there.
A body still in the middle of a change. Mapping an area that is still moving wastes the map, so the plan waits until the weight has been stable for a while.

Where the examination finds no local excess to treat, body contouring is not the right treatment for you and you will hear that at the consultation. That sentence costs us a booking, which is the only reason it is worth publishing.

Areas

Abdomen, flanks, arms and thighs — what each area realistically allows

Areas differ in how they hold tissue, how they move and how they photograph, so expectations differ with them.

Abdomen. The largest and most commonly mapped surface, and the one where posture and photography mislead most. A border drawn while you stand is the honest reference, and the same standing position is used again at review.
Flanks. A narrow, well-defined band that suits area mapping well, and the area people most often want treated symmetrically. Both sides are drawn in the same session so the borders match.
Upper arms. Often a mixture of soft tissue and surface laxity, which is why the examination here decides between the injection route and the energy route more often than anywhere else.
Inner thighs and knees. Thin-skinned, sensitive and slower to settle after injection work. Bruising is more visible here and is planned around.
Calves and shoulders. When the outline is muscular, these are a toxin conversation and not a contouring one, which is why they sit on a different page from this one.
Limits

Four things non-surgical body work does not buy

Stating the ceiling first is what keeps a body plan from being oversold.

It is not weight loss. These routes change the outline of a mapped area. They do not reduce body weight, they do not treat obesity, and no medication for weight is prescribed or discussed on this page.
It is not liposuction. Surgical removal takes tissue out under anaesthesia in one operation. Everything here works gradually on a drawn area, and the comparison between the two belongs in a surgeon's consultation.
It does not tighten loose skin back to where it was. Energy can improve the quality of a surface by degrees. Significant skin excess is a surgical problem.
It is not permanent and it is not a substitute for how you live. A treated area responds to the same diet, training and time as the rest of you. Plans are reviewed, and maintenance is proposed only when the review earns it.
Dear, Knowhow

Why a body area is mapped this way at Dear

01 — THE FULL ARSENAL

An energy body platform and a needle on the same floor

Because the microwave platform, the injection route and the toxin option are all in the building, the examination can conclude that the shape you dislike is muscular, or that it is skin, and the plan simply moves to the right instrument. Nothing has to be sold from a single machine's diary.

02 — DIAGNOSIS FIRST

Soft tissue, skin laxity and muscle separated by hand

The scan opens the consultation and the examination decides the area.

03 — DIRECTOR-PERFORMED

The border is drawn and worked by the same doctor

An area result depends on where the border falls, how evenly the grid or the pass covers it, and how the two sides are matched. Your session is director-performed by the doctor who examined you and drew the border, and the same doctor reviews the area afterwards.

Pricing

How much does non-surgical body contouring
cost in Seoul?

The two body lines are published separately. A mapped injection area of 40 cc is ₩80,000 (≈ $55) and an 80 kJ microwave body session is ₩650,000 (≈ $465). The G-Wave / Eve Synergy care on the same list, ₩200,000 (≈ $145), is a facial radiofrequency skin-care session, not a body treatment. What decides your total is how many areas are drawn and how many sessions the plan runs to, both agreed before the first one.

Those two figures are not a ranking. The injection rate buys one area at a set volume, so two flanks are two areas. The microwave rate buys an energy budget for a surface, which is a different kind of unit altogether. The facial G-Wave / Eve Synergy care is quoted by the visit and is not part of a body plan. Comparing the numbers without their units is the commonest mistake made on a body price page.

International visitors pay these same published rates with no visitor surcharge. Where the shape is muscular, the toxin route is quoted per 100 units on its own page, and arrangements for consultation and follow-up are explained at your appointment.

If the examination concludes that an area is not worth treating this season, that is what you are told, and the quote you leave with is for nothing at all.

Caution

After a body session, injection area and energy field compared

After a mapped injection area. Swelling, tenderness, firmness under the skin and bruising across the grid are the expected picture for some days. Clothing that presses on the area is uncomfortable, so plan loose layers for the first few days.
The injection risks we name. Injected lipolysis carries documented adverse effects, and the published literature listed below includes both an adverse-event review and a paper questioning the risk-to-benefit balance of the approach. That literature is why session counts here are set at review and never sold as a block in advance.
After a microwave body session. Warmth and mild redness over the treated field, occasionally tenderness for a day. Because the energy is heat, a burn is the risk that has to be named, and cooling and glide are managed at every pass.
Both routes. Saunas, hot baths and alcohol wait a few days, and vigorous training on a freshly treated area is postponed instead of pushed through.
Call us, do not wait. Spreading redness, a hard lump that keeps growing, fever, skin colour change, blistering or pain that worsens after the first days means contacting the clinic immediately.

Tell your director about pregnancy or breastfeeding, any implant or metal in the area, bleeding disorders and medication affecting clotting, skin infection at the site, and any history of keloid scarring. Some of those change the route and some rule the session out.

FAQ

Non-surgical body contouring, answered

How much does body contouring cost in Cheongdam, Seoul?
The two body lines are published individually: ₩80,000 (≈ $55) for a mapped 40 cc injection area and ₩650,000 (≈ $465) for an 80 kJ microwave body session. The G-Wave / Eve Synergy care on the same list, ₩200,000 (≈ $145), is a facial radiofrequency skin-care session, not a body treatment. Your total follows the number of areas drawn and the number of sessions the plan runs to, agreed before the first appointment.
Is body contouring safe at Korean clinics?
Safety depends on who assesses the area and how the session is delivered rather than on the country. At Dear Clinic the area is examined and drawn by a doctor, the session is director-performed, and the risks are named in writing: swelling, bruising and firmness after injection work, and heat-related risk including burns with an energy platform. Ask any clinic who holds the needle, and ask what they decline to treat.
Will body contouring make me lose weight?
No, and nothing on this page is offered as a weight treatment. These routes change the outline of a mapped area. Body weight responds to diet, activity, sleep and medical factors that belong with your own physician. If the goal you arrive with is a number on a scale, this is not the right treatment for it and you will hear that at the consultation.
How many sessions will my area need?
No fixed course length is published here, because none has been issued to publish and inventing one would be a sales figure dressed as a clinical one. Injection areas are typically repeated at intervals decided at review, and energy sessions are assessed on what the previous one produced. The count is revisited each time instead of being sold in a block.
Which is better for my stomach: the injection or the energy session?
It depends on what the examination finds. A defined pocket of soft tissue inside a stable body suits the mapped injection area. Fullness with slackness in the skin above it suits the microwave field, because the energy is spread across the whole surface. Where both findings are present, the plan sequences them with an interval written between the appointments.
What is G-Wave / Eve Synergy care on your price list?
It is a facial radiofrequency skin-care session, not a body treatment: G-Wave radiofrequency is delivered to the dermis for hydration and skin elasticity. It is carried on our published rate list and quoted per session. We publish the rate on this page and leave the description of what a session involves to the consultation, where it is explained in person. Anything written here beyond what our own price list states would be marketing instead of information.
Can body contouring fix loose skin after weight loss?
Only to a degree. Energy work can improve the quality of a surface, and a genuinely loose skin envelope is a surgical problem, because removing skin requires removing skin. We do not perform that surgery here. Where the examination points there, we say so instead of selling a course of sessions that would not reach the problem.
Does a lipolysis injection hurt, and what does it feel like afterwards?
The injections themselves feel like a series of quick pinpricks across a drawn grid, and most people describe the hours afterwards as a deep ache with swelling. Firmness under the skin and visible bruising are normal for several days. Inner thighs and knees are the most sensitive areas and the slowest to settle, which is worth knowing before you book a beach holiday.
Can I treat two areas in one visit?
Often, and the quote is per area rather than per visit, so two flanks are two areas on the invoice. Whether two areas in one appointment is sensible depends on how much swelling you can reasonably carry at once and on how far apart the areas sit. Your director sets the order and says which area to leave for a second visit.
Who is not suitable for these body treatments?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone with infection or broken skin at the site, and anyone with a bleeding disorder or on medication that affects clotting is assessed separately and may be declined. Implants or metal in the field change what is appropriate. We also decline to map an area on a body that is still in the middle of significant weight change.
How should I judge body before-and-after photographs?
Look for the same posture, the same distance and the same lighting in both frames, and for a stated interval between them. A body photographed standing relaxed and then standing braced can look like a result that is really a posture. Our cases are photographed in the same standing position with the interval stated, unretouched, and labelled with the one treatment used.
I am visiting Seoul briefly. Can I start a body plan here?
Yes for a first session, since the examination, the map and the treatment fit into one appointment once the area is confirmed as suitable. Wear something loose over the area you want assessed. We open every day of the year — weekdays 10:00 to 19:00, weekends and public holidays 10:00 to 16:00, 365 days with no lunch-hour close — and we reply to the consultation form in English as soon as possible.

The references below are grouped by the two mechanisms this page prescribes: microwave energy applied to localised adiposity, and injection lipolysis. Two of the injection entries are included deliberately for what they record about adverse events and about the balance of risk and benefit, since a page that sells injected body work owes the reader that literature as much as the favourable kind.

Each reference is listed as title, journal and year with a verifiable DOI. None of them is evidence of a particular outcome for your body, which is assessed at your in-person diagnosis.
